I went vegan for almost six months many years ago after getting food poisoning from meat I thought to give it a try but I think what actually put me off staying one was being associated with these holier than thou morally superior narcissists who managed to somehow turn a dietary preference into a political ideology and cult who make it their entire identity.

Hello! Vegetarian here. I don't know how, but I know meat eaters like this. I know it's a joke and parody. But, I've actually heard meat eating people say several of these things to me unironically word for word. Not even as a joke to imitate me or mock me, like these are actual things I've been told as a vegetarian:

My diet was unhealthy and I'm going to starve myself to death. The imitation meat industry is harmful and dangerous. Humans are hardwired to eat nothing but meat. We ought to be killing each other to solve overpopulation. I'm a terrible person for my diet choices. I should see X documentary showing how harmful my choices are. We should be eating endangered animals to have them live on through us. Eating meat is okay for me because the farming practices in X country is better, and you're challenging my morality just by being vegetarian, so stop.

I wish I was making this shit up. I've learned that I've I'm going to be interacting with a person at length, it's best not to tell them what I eat. People are crazy on both sides, y'all. Anyway this was too long, drink lots of water, eat a balanced diet, and have a good day.

In 2023 its exactly like this. Everyone is eating only red meat with some lettuce or fruit which must be sour af. No dairy, gluten, sugar, starch, fructose... While I enjoy eating milk chocolate, coffee with regular milk, all types of fruit, veggies, rice, potatoes, cookies etc.
