Glad I came across this video I struggle with finding my way I’ve been doing gaming content because I truly love gaming but I enjoy fitness, food and motivation, I three of those thing can mix but the gaming part is what’s frustrating

no yuou dont need a nich What you need is to know where you Viewer are you need to know the key word and Tags to get in the eyes Target your Viewer like advertiser target Customers thaw advertizer are not bidding to sell ad on your Sites and channel they are aimed at the viewers that find you looking for what they have to sell in reality neither viewer give no mind to inch they simplly wnat what they want like who they like :)

Thanks for this video, I'm currently making whatever content I want until I figure it out and I'm having fun with it. It's very freeing. I think right now my goal is just learning to make better videos with better editing and make things for myself that other people would want to watch. My problem is that I want to make so much but there's only so much I can make 😅

I was thinking of putting a lot of videos into my 1 YT channel because I have so many ideas but when I saw this video I’ve decided not to do it.

This was really helpful! i got a question. I was planning on starting multiple channels because i wanted to do Travel content as well as Reaction videos. But i think we can't have more than 2 channels for each phone number and i already have 2 accounts. so I'm thinking of just doing it in one main channel, but I don't know if the niches are too different from each other. I would really like to hear your opinion on this. Thank you!

My biggest thing I struggle with is that my channel is mainly based around my favorite band. But I’m also a huge horror fan that wants to talk about horror. I’m trying to think of ways to mix it.

Also, i think staying to one ‘niche’ would only grow your subscribers fast but at the end of the day if you have somehow monetized the channel, the only things which would matter now is ‘views’. Just bring audience to your channel and videos that’s it. If they wanna subscribe your work would speak for that. So if you’re not really obsessed with the subscription number then it’s all good ☺️

A mixed content creator knows how everyone thinks overtime so it’s worth it and I just saw you can still monetize your videos doing a mixed content channel.

I'm REALLY struggling with this as well. I have a family and a puppy and I'd like to show those things that we do around home and places we go that are interesting, but i REALLY want to do travel. BUT.... we can't travel every week! Lol or even every month! It's good to see your channel IS still growing! Binge listening on this topic while at work today! Thank you!

Sucks that the algorithm favors repetition and niching, brains like ours just don't work like that. But being true to yourself is worth the slower growth!

Thank you so much for sharing this Ben! The main reason I've been procrastinating with starting my YT channel is that I have many interests and things that I like to learn and talk about. And I felt that if I started my channel I needed to chose a topic that I could be consistent with. But also being a creative my mind doesn't fixate on one topic. It's all over the place, like you said. However, a buddy of mine said my niche is travel. I agree but I'm also passionate about other things as well. But this video definitely gave me some clarity. I like that you statement authenticity = "success". That's what I'm all about authenticity! I don't want to create content just to get a silver play button. I want to create content to express my creativity, inform/make people smarter, and just genuinely help them. Like what you're video did for me. Now it's just time to start pumping out content. I feel like it's been long over due. Excellent video! Subscribed!

I have been posting art videos and beatboxing videos in the same channel from the beginning, so should I have a separate channel or can I continue posting in the same channel. What's your suggestion?

I have two clear niche in one channel mythsaga about sculpturing and mythology but i worry that these two clash with each other and my channel growing very slow almost stopped growing,,,but i am not very comfortable about making two channels that makes me believe it will split my focus so i don't want that but my channel is not growing so i really need more help .

Thank you for this video, Ben. I’m so glad to read the comments that share the same sentiments. I’m a handbag lover and watch tons of YT videos every day on handbags. So, since I retired and now have free time, I decided to start my own channel about handbags. It’s growing very slowly. After 2 months I gained only 40 subs. One day I thot I’d throw in a clip of me trying on some sneakers. I mean bags, sneakers, they’re all part of styling, right? I lost 2 subs immediately. I mean, when you have only 40. Going down by 2 is a lot. I panicked and removed that post. So stressful. I also feel there’s a lot of competition and I know I will not be able to match up because I can’t afford to unbox a new bag every other week. That’s why I’m starting to reconsider if I want to just have fun and also post about other stuff that interests me, like fashion, or cooking diabetic-friendly foods since I’m a diabetic myself or even doing walking tours to show my country to the rest of the world.

This resonates ALOT with me. I don’t have a nisch yet because it’s so many things I want to do, I have more than one passion and I can se myself doing most of them on my channel. I’m thinking of ideas all the time. So I’ve goon from just wanted to be a rockstar to more of a creator of many things. I have 112 subs now and it feels really good, now it’s just to get back to business. Main thing is that I want to have fun, get really good at filmmaking, inspire people to actually move and to be able to create my dream life. Thank you for this video, great. I subscribe! 😃🙏🏼

I admire people who stick to only one very specific niche and be very consistent about it. One girl has a channel only about hair and shampoo. But her content reflects her personality

I’ve painted myself into a corner. I went for a political niche, but I’m sick of it. All I want to do is camera reviews now. I made a new channel, but rather keep all my content under my main channel with my name. Great advice. I’ve found your channel searching many topics.

I have two channels. One with a niche and one without one, just me. The niche channel is a side project, teaching people a language. The other one is my passion project. The niche channel is growing like crazy even though I'm almost never uploading, cause two videos went semi viral. The other one is on a plateau, because people don't like a mix of things. But I do. So yeah, I'm going to keep this up. Because I hate niches and I seen how bad niches are creatively on my other channel. It feels almost like a job!

For sanity, make whatever you want. For results, stick to niche.

What if this is about totally different cultures here dialects, fields/topics even beliefs 😳💩 f*** up in the head right ? LOL who is this like my subscribers dropped hundreds then as you said the Chanel started building back up SLOOWLY once I decided to stick to me.
