...I'm bummed out that the post MK11 Johnny Cage lost his super power lineage....
Ngl though, MK 10 - 1(2) had honestly really good story modes that went a long way in fleshing out the lore and world of Mortal Kombat, and MK11 and 12 had the best character designs in the whole of the series imo, especially since they held true to the classic designs.
Looking back, I also find it ironic af that not only is Sub-Zero II now Scorpion II, but also the founder of the New Era's Shirai-ryu... Bi Han was fated to be a bad guy though, I guess... Kinda sucks, but Kuai Liang was cooler anyway. Also, MK11 Kitana is best looking Kitana.

This is a great game from which you can get a lot of fun. During the game you will be completely immersed in this game world and will enjoy every minute
