Viewer (Swish) brought up a great point about both of these vehicles. While their files state they have ALL of their weight in their frame, the 74941s stability is superior. The 74760 is still a great stable vehicle, but after testing these again in different scenarios, I have to say the 74941 takes considerable effort to make it tip. Very pleasing and exciting!

You have some of the best, quick, to the point, reviews of trucks I've seen. Others have more scientific process and tests.. but I just want to hear from a good player what their view's of the truck is in use.. and you give that.
you have a really good voice and could do some kind of voice work.

Could you make a video on your most used trucks lineup? And have people leave their most used trucks in the comments? I think that would be a great video

The 74941 was very quickly replaced by the P12 when I got to island lake with almost no upgrades

It's worth mentioning that compared to their real-life prototypes MZKT 741351, the depiction of stock suspension in the game is inadequate. It's just ridiculously lowered like the cheap street tuners. I would say that active suspension in a raised position is a must to make it realistic. I have even modded both of their suspensions in my game.

I specifically bought the 74760 for the missions in Aegis Installation. Funny enough, due to driver error, I did flip this guy while pulling the fuselage special trailer. I guess backing up, jack knifing against a tree and it took it out on my Kolob. That was fun to get him figured out. Big Cat to the rescue and it was already in the area.

I actually used the Big Cat as an escort for it all the way to the gateway. Between the Big Cat and the Kolob, there was absolutely nothing that could stop it. I ran into a few rocks that the Kolob had some issues getting over and went back to towing it with the Cat.

that winch in the 74941 is basically used for transporting the tank up to the trailer. it makes sense it only has a saddle high frame addon because these are used for transporting tanks.

EDIT: yes, this is real life.

The turning radious takes forty acres to turn a circle. Which is fine if and when your farming, not so much as when your logging.

I recently acquired the Zikz 605R for the first time and discovered that the Kolobs are still the better option with the super heavy trailer. Less dragging /snagging of the feet in my experience. Decided I was going to haul the 8 wooden planks and 5 metal beams required to unblock Aegis in one trip, and I had to call in the Kolob brothers because the 605 couldn’t get there without getting snagged!

Another great review as always 😁 Love the flatnose! The engine sound is awesome and the performance in deep mud is superb! I used it a lot in the Yukon region with the superheavy trailer, and it was really fun driving that amount of cargo without much problems. I will have to check out its brother too sometime 😎

I think the point with the addons is good as it is. If the Kolob could have a fuel tank, pull logs, flatbed or even more things it would become very unbalanced. Same happened for me when I got the Zikz 605R. Until it got nerfed a bit it was just the best vehicle for pretty much everything.
Btw what makes the 74760 better than the 74941 for me: Looks amazing and that engine sounds juicy!

I like the 74941 better because if your considering a kolob, you have already given up.
The switchable diffs are not so much a problem because I have already given up on speed if I’m considering it.
The extra clearance makes it more capable (not by much) but on the off chance it makes the difference, I wouldn’t want to have my “give up” truck fail.

@Nathan Province Hey bro, I just want you to ask wich tires are better in deep conditions: OHS I or MHS I , bcs u said in mudrunin TIPS that the best single narrow tires are OHS I, but mudtires Are mudtires. Thank you Soo much. Great content, keep it up.

The long nose Kolob, I actually have never driven it. The price tag was a down side for me. (And it mostly looks like a Dachshund😂). The flat nose Kolob I used once, I pulled the Derry up that hill in Alaska and then I sold it. If challenge I am after, the Pacific P-16 is my go to…. Awesome review!!! 🤘😬🤘

Talking about engine durability and damage thresholds, I must mention that the base KZGT 490 engine has a critical damage threshold of 30%. So having 70% of durability left it will already be considered as a damaged, turning the engine icon red, increasing fuel consumption and decreasing it's power.

I love the long nosed Kolob look. I'm also team Azov 73210 and I have left many nose shaped grooves in many maps haha. I found a long nosed Kolob mod that had the fuel tank from the TUZ Warthog on the back and I pretty much scouted the entirety of the Yukon region maps with it. Sadly I believe the mod was taken over by another modder and that fuel tank was removed, but the fun I had scouting Yukon with it is honestly one of my most fond SnowRunner memories.

The Number II should technically be the best mud tire, I think that's the case for all tires except offroad OHD where Saber decided to suddenly make the number I the best tire for some reason.

Personally with these big tractors I like using the number III for consistency. It's the same tire design that is used for the Cabover KOLOB's spare, the Forester, and mud tires on the Voron's/International Twin-Steer. Plus I just like how those look.

Between the KOLOB's I pretty much only use the Cabover one mostly. The long nose one looks cool, I like how it looks more then the Cabover. But the long nose just isn't all to great outside Low Range. The always features give the Cabover a huge advantage.

Even with all the upsides that the flatnose Kolob has, I still prefer the long nose entirely because of 2 things, Ground Clearance and Stability.

The central frame of the long nose Kolob sits noticeably higher than the flat nose, so it's less likely to get high centred or juggled around by rocks. Higher GC also makes a noticeable improvement when traversing through water since there's less resistance with more of the truck being above the water.

Its stability is also unrivalled, I've never been able to flip it without deliberately trying, which I can't say for the flat face since it seems a little unsteady at times.

Thanks for the review !! It helps me a lot in choosing trucks to buy in hardmode. Maps are getting harder and I'm a bit lost in what I need :/

I feel that the Kolobs (especially 74760) are probably best for hauling the 8 slot semi-trailers. 605R can also do the job pretty well but I feel because of its low height, the trailer's legs hits the ground when there are ups and downs. I love 605R, the utility & roof-rack makes it op, but I don't think it will ever replace 74760 for me!

There are two more cons that you didn't mention:
1- both of them hate rocks. They've made for mud, not for rocks. Rocky areas can ruin their power easily (there's a chance to get stuck in the rocks with these vehicles too)
2- their steering may get weak or even vanish in harsh terrains because of their weight distribution(specially when you reach to the top of a hill) . However this more happens if you overload them or attach special trailers to them.

Due to reviewing two trucks that are very similar, you probably will hear me repeat myself quite a bit in the video. Also forgive the nature of a informal review (All done on one live recording). I did this because it’s production time is shortened and I still could cover everything.
