Just ran through these again, the config could do with a refresh as firefox updates have changed naming / removed some settings and obviously your vid is nearly 4 years old now. I noted down some of the settings from your config that need updating:

security.ssl3.rsa_des_ede3_sha = false (entry no longer exists)
security.tls.version.min = 3 (already exists as default)
tls.version.max = 4 (already exists as security.tls.version.max)
browser.formfill.enable = false (has missing l in formfill)
browser.cache.offline.enable (no entry exists)
browser.cache.insecure.enable = false (no entry exists)
plugin.scan.plid.all = false (no entry exists)

(these two need seperated)

browser.ping-centre.telemetry = false (ping-centre should have dash in middle)
devtools.onboarding.telemetry-logged = false (no entry exists)

The privacy.resistfingerprinting = true option now makes firefox lag very badly for me

Which of these settings completely disables pasting? I need to do that a lot, and if I have to switch to Chrome to do it every time, its just not worth it.

Nooby question, but how can I do exactly this on google chrome? I know already that if I want to be really anonymous, I should definitely not use chrome and use Firefox or Tor instead. But I still do like chrome for casual use and the familiar interface and these features would still be very useful, regardless.

Hey, I created a new profile for my firefox browser and I made sure to configure everything in that same new profile but I am seeing the same configuration in my default profile(old profile)? Is this suppose to be how it is? Do note, I am running an older version of firefox(Firefox 52).

I thought you privacy wierdos where just wired lol I knew they collected data but not alot. And thought you guys where exaggerating until I found out you can download your Google data and I looked and they had almost 2tb of data from me all the way back from 2010 I believe. From locations to photos, to what kind of vehicle I was in. And I was blown away and now I'm with the wierdo group 😂. And with chrome or any Google products it doesn't matter what you install. I spent the whole weekend reading and organizing there terms and service and you won't believe the stuff I seen. Even if a add on or setting from third party. That doesn't apply to Google at all.. Lol

I'd appreciate your opinion as I'm stuck on making a tough decision. I'm looking for an optimal web browser set up for maximum online privacy. I'm debating which of these 3 options is best. The first option is using 4 different web browsers, 1 for each (email, banking, shopping and general web browsing). Option 2 is using Firefox exclusively and having 4 different user profiles set up. Option 3 is to use just 1 Firefox user profile and create "containers". I love firefox and really prefer option 3 best then option 2 because it would be great using 1 browser. However, I'm thinking it will not offer the most security against fingerprinting and tracking. I'm new to all this and would greatly appreciate your suggestions!

Is it normal that a lot of these settings aren't there by default and I have to create them first? Or is it just outdated

Still removing all Add-ons mostly increases privacy not security. If you want to be Anonymous the closest thing that exists is the Onion Network.

It's weird that my default Opera config is, according to panopticlick, safer that firefox with these settings applied. (I think i forgot to configure everything on the firefox cos it was just too many things)
