What's a good idea letting the metal battery fall out onto the motherboard. I had to do the cmos trick 3 times bcos when i bought my gpu which is an rx580 wasnt tuned right for some reason and it kept crashing and not posting but i fixed it

ye.. back in the days, i had a pentium 2 233mhz and wanted to overclock it. a friend helped me. i still remember, beeing in the kitchen while he was at it. i heard panic screams, rushed back. his eyes wide open and he asked just one question " how long does your system take to get into bios"? i asked why.. he said "well, boot up showed i messed up, the cpu is running at 600 mhz now" i never swallowed so heavy in my life again. because that was before secure shut off if you messed something up
