"Jesus Christ entered her body without consent" caught me so off guard that I collapsed laughing😂
ОтветитьThe writing in Origins is crap. The sequence in the beginning with the fuy not wanting to go through with the ritual and being killed for it was so trash it made me turn the game off.
No body is told the elixir they're going to drink has a VERY HIGH, we're told somewhere in the 90% range, fatality rate. So the one guy doesn't want to go though with it (all of the "initiates" are forced into this ritual mind you), and he tries to escape.
The "Good Guy" wizard, or whatever he is, then goes on to murder the poor schlep. I got a very "Are We the Baddies?" Feel from the guy and said "Nope!"
This was after I tried the dwarf storyline where you, a First Level Character, defeat the arena champion just by stealing his armor and wearing it. Though there are no guards on his room, no security of any sort (*Very* convenient) and it's Easy to obtain it.
Then its literally the easiest thing to defeat him even though you're dressed in his armor, wielding his weapons, and he says nothing. Nobody does. It's the most Obvious thing in the world and the writers just let it fly.🙄
Second. The character creation is trash. You get forced into a very few, very narrow backgrounds with stories that are written so badly its comical.
The intellectual capacity of people that think this game is great leaves a lot to be desired. If you call this garbage "awesome," you deserve the decline in gaming we have today and for it to die.
I argue the decline in gaming started with this POS and it's ilk.
Thanks!
ОтветитьWith the city elf story the guy in the prison is your cousin and if you play a female your kidnapped and fight your way out to run into them and see your fiance die
ОтветитьTank dempsey: Dammit richtofen, you turned me into a dwarf?!?!?
ОтветитьWoo short beard man go brrrr
ОтветитьWish it still worked on pc 😅
ОтветитьOrigins might just be my favorite game ever in one of my favorite worlds ever. It's very basic fantasy but it does so with an edge and darkness to it. It's characters are complex and it's heartfelt. Bioware's best work and I don't think that's up for debate. Watching this also made me pine for 2 and Inquisition, which while neither are as good as Origins, share that RPG dna and expand on the world.
ОтветитьThis video got me playing dragon age
ОтветитьWe are living this situation now. Grey wardens are screaming stop with the woke.
ОтветитьQueen Anora is one of my favorite NPC's of all time
I used to play nightmare mode trying not to get any injury, if so I'd reload the game, good times.
the dwarves having traditional notions of the roles and natures of men and women isn't a flaw, it's a virtue
ОтветитьThe only origin which I genuinely believe is a bit undercooked is the Dalish.
if you analyse it, its 'the one with the least connections to future elements and the least dimensions.
The CIty Elf has the events in the Alienage, and through that, an additional personal reason to hate both Arl Howe (who oversaw the later purge) and Loghain, (who empowered Howe and also authorised slavers to take your people) which adds some spice to their encounters, it also changes considerably based on your gender. all coming to a head later on with the return to the Alienage, the return of its unique characters, and plenty of additional options through this. for instance, you can pretend to be sick in order to have the doctors take you inside their disguised slave ring as you are actually a citizen of the Alienage they're cleared to target.
The Mage obviously reconnects to the Circle Tower, Irving, Greagor and all that other jazz, but has other options that the other player characters don't have, such as stepping into the fade to free Connor in Redcliffe, and also for that matter has history with Jowan in Redcliffe,
Dwarven Noble has major connections to the succession in Orzammar as detailed in the video.
Dwarven Commoner has major connections to the Carta you encounter in Orzammar and is the sibling of Rica, Bhelen's lover. obviously the dichotomy here being that the Commoner is more geared to side with Bhelen to counterbalance the fact that it'd make no sense to as the Dwarf Noble, giving Dwarf characters a viable "Pick Bhelen" route.
and the Human Noble has connections in the Landsmeet and a very personal vendetta against Arl Howe.
the Dalish Elf has virtually no unique connection to anything that appears in the game without said origin., the Dalish clan you start with, and the dalish clan you meet later are different, the only element that carries forth at all is that Tamlen, your missing friend from the Origin reappears later.
It is heartless to kill the elven elder wtf is wrong with you. Why not kill the rapist werewolf?
ОтветитьI loved DAO but it’s so long I never replayed it (at least I don’t remember any alt play through that amounted to much) I chose dwarf noble as well.
ОтветитьMy review: "Dragon Age: Origins was better than your mother over your Thomas the Tank Engine bedsheets are a few shots of Tequila! Will bang again"
ОтветитьYes
ОтветитьI Think (IMO) this was more of a sort of review mostly playthrough rather than an analysis, since analyzing something often comes with comparing it with other games and showing references for some of the in-game content as external information pieces, developer notes, cut content, and other social commentaries (and contrasting them with other games, dev notes, cut contents, ss commentaries, etc.) done on the game.
I can support my opinion using the same comments on this video, i.e: @Leon108 , @mattyice31, @SteveMan92, @TheTexasDice .On an analysis you'd get majority of comments similar to @tangentyes3323 where he broadens on the 'Broodmother' as on of his favorite horrors (comparing to other media and references external pieces game and non-game)
Maybe they lift the victim up in the air after stabbing them through the back to let gravity further impale them? I would think the deeper the wound, the more likely the victim is to die?
