Hello, my name is Nelu and I am from Romania and I have an HP laptop bought from the USA and it manifests itself in the following way:
I turn it on from the power button and the Caps LOCK key pulses 5 times regularly, then takes a short break and pulses quickly 3 times.
I tried the version with the Windows button and B simultaneously with the on/off button (3 seconds) but it doesn't start.
I would like some advice.
I specify that the laptop has a warranty until 21.07.2024.

Sorry its 2023 lol. Have hp pavillion 15 gaming laptop with nvidia graphics and ryzen5 also has built in graphucs.

Issue is bios is f17 and locked out no advanced settings. Tried alot of tricks but none work.

Can this methoth also update bios to a newer bios that the trick may work to get into advanced bios settings so i can set bios to use nvidia graphics only? Win 10 doesnt switch between the 2 very well.

i can not create the bootable USB drive as you did what can be the issue, once i click the run option after that its just show the agreement and then it straigthly direct to the driver where to install, changing the drive to USB, it simply extract the files. I contact the ASUS support center for that problem and the technicians refers me to this page and tell me this method will work for my ASUS ? TLDR: This worked and thank you so much!
I was updating an old HP laptop to Windows 11. Everything seemed good and then it did a BIOS update during the restart. I really am not sure WHY HP does this because it seems to have bricked a few other persons laptops on the hp forums, and it did the same with mine. Failed during the BIOS update and kept turning on to a black screen. I could tell the display was on as it just went to full black and I could hear the fan running. I searched up the BIOS driver on HP website and prepared the USB drive and held the windows and B key until I got to the BIOS screen. So happy this fixed it as I thought my pc was busted forever.

I tried it on a older hp laptop (pavilion g4) but it didnt worked, is it just B key or win+b?

By any chance you may help me out if possible, so my little sister got a laptop and she turned it on for the first time and turned it off while the programming was going on, it goes to the home page but you can not click anything on the screen, is there something I can possibly do that I can restart it so the programm restart and I can use the laptop?

updated my hp 250 g6 to newest bios yesterday, update went smooth but then black screen after restart and its like this now, no keyboard combinations work, no usb with recovery works, tried more usb sticks.. no caps lock blinking, i am not sure if the usb ports are even working now
