Hey Jason R. , quick question, do you think these speakers would work fine plugged into a digital piano, to display a better and crisp sound. Since the internal ones in my piano aren't the best but sound better in my headphones so thought maybe speakers would be perfect. I noticed you had a piano in the background. Thanks 👍 + (My piano takes a 3.5 jack for headphones and speakers)

Do you need an audio interface for them?

I feel 8's are too much for 95% of what i see people doing. I think many people, like myself, related them to car-speakers or home audio speakers when first shopping... not knowing how loud 8" monitor are vs 8" normal spekaers that are not for monitoring (flat full sound). I have some in a box now, they do moderate volume poorly compared to a smaller speaker (though they do extremely loud very well, it's too much to even sit near and i play marshall amps sooooo .. they are loud).. and to get it moving it is ROARING loud in the small room i have for the task. 3.5 sounds small, but I bet people are blown away when they get them and use them 10x more than they would use a larger monitor (unless mixing is their actual profession, which i understand you need both and more than one type).

Going to give these a shot. Do you think they have enough power to fill a 1,500 sqf studio space?

What speakers are on piano?

I don't know. Im using them in my home studio, but in my headphones, the sound is so much richer, and I don't have to raise my lows, but as soon as I switch over to my Pre-sonis 3.5's the sound is far more tinny and lows are far less. I have to go into my daw to increase my lows on the channels needed, to get a descent sound. These are great! And sound great, but maybe im doing something wrong? Maybe I need a monitor with greater bass response. I want to make sure my mix will sound good on other media players, not just my system. Im using logic pro, scarlett 2i2, dbx 286s, newest mac, pre-sonis 3.5's. I just have to work hard to get the balance needed, on playback. am I doing something wrong?

Was thinking of buying these and hooking them up to my digital piano, would that be ok in your opinion?

For video editing purpose which one is better? Edifier MR4 or Presonus Studio Monitor Erise3.5
