So sorry to hear that , I'm glad everybody else is safe. It wasn't that long ago that there was another tragedy on a ship when someone just passed away.

I read about this, the article explained pretty much what you said. He Stabbed ppl on the cruise and tried to escape on a life boat. Crazy you guys are on the ship. Please stay safe.

Mental Illness is real,,I am so sorry this has actually shifted every emotion to another level,,,don;t fight your feelings Bianca, if u need to cry, cry, if u need to scream , go for it,,I worked in an ER, Urgent Care, Dr's Offices, stc, and have seen some things,,,obviously this guy was having a mental episode,Thank God the injuries are treatable, not that any passenger should have to go thru this while on a cruise,,but she will heal, it always could've been worse,,DO NOT LET HIS ACTIONS RUIN YOUR CRUISE,,,and let your feelings be as they are,,,so sorry all of you, passengers, crew, and of course you 2 lovely folks have to deal with this,,,try and enjoy the rest of your time and make beautiful memories,,,,,GOD BLESS!!!!

Bianca - ❤ you’re a lovely woman with a big heart, it’s understandable you’re upset as you’re confide to a boat unlike the theme parks or other holidays - you have the ability to get away.

Try not to let it spoil the rest of your holiday or darken it, you’re safe just never trust anyone because unfortunately it could happen anywhere, even at Disney and universal you just don’t hear of it.

The 75 year old woman, that concerns me a lot I hope she is ok!

Thanks for sharing that. The news media didn’t give any details. They made it seem so random which was extra scary. Knowing the details put it into perspective a bit. Hopefully it’s a wake up call to the cruise industry to more carefully screen potential hires. Probably should add a psychological evaluation if not in place already. Hope you were able to enjoy the rest if your trip ❤

People are nutty as a fruitcake, all over the place. Even cruises, ect. Humans can really be useless creatures, and good for constant danger and entertainment. 🫣 But honesty, I wouldn't let it mess with my head or my vaca. It is what it is.

Just remember that what makes it so shocking is it's unbelievably unusual and NEVER happens on these kinds of holidays. Ovbiously the crew member was have a mental crisis and it's very possible that signs were missed. The end result is that, luckily, no one was criticially hurt (including the crew member) and Norwegian and all other cruiselines will hopefully re-examine mental wellness for crew members and hopefully provide more support. Perhaps wellness check-ins and evaluations or something along those lines.
It sounds like the passenger that was injured will be ok and proper review of what was done right and what was done wrong will be reviewed.

Glad you guys are safe and feel assured that Norwegian kept things relatively contained and security did right by that passenger coming to their aid as well as right by the crew member to safely defuse the situation and turn them over to proper authorities so you can all feel safe. I imagine all crew will up their games even moreso to make the reamdiner of the cruise something special.
