Bought a Windows 10 Pro retail key from PC World (which I figured to be trust worthy) in 2020 during their Black Friday sale. Installed it a few days ago, to prepare for Steam's big FU, and, of course, the key has been disabled. This is supposed to be a retail version, never used... 🤨 Contacted Cleverbridge and Creativemark (twice), and still have yet to receive a response from Creativemark (which I'm willing to take into consideration it's Christmas). Point is, even when buying something that seems "legit," be careful of unexpected surprises.

i got a key for like 10 bucks (win11-home),and they where practically giving win8-pro away for like 5 bucks....before 11 came out.
bought a key from a key site.
cant change the background...and it constantly sais buy a key,like a logo in the right-bottom(y,x)
dont need a key to install.
only trusted platform module 2 needs to be supported by the motherboard. for 11
but you want those to disappear, and change the background, trust me....and buy a key.

I don't care that you don't activate windows, but I DO care that you are using Microsoft Edge/Internet Explorer.

I learned this the hard way after finally upgrading my ailing motherboard. Microsoft's tech support has been more determinetal than even useless and I'm pretty thoroughly disincentivized to ever pay for Windows again. I wouldn't even be using it now if Linux could run my Steam library.

I mean just the fact that Microsoft does this to us as gamers who are dependant on upgrading our hardware to keep up with games becoming more demanding, is criminal in and of itself.

I have a question about your test rig. You plug your windows ssd in and fire it up, on other videos do benchmarks.
Isn't a clean install necessary any more or is windows getting more like Linux and uses the hardware detected at each boot.

Dont buy the OEM license version.... The OEM License is stuck to hardware id:s. Buy the retail version and you can change computer.

I know I don't need a windows 10 key cause I'm not interested in changing wallpapers but somehow I couldn't sleep at night without activating it . I didn't buy it or spend any money for it and still activated my windows 10(how I did it is highly confidential🤫)

So i got a new pc ant in activation label it says windows reporter that no product key was found on your device error code: 0xC004F213

This still viable? Im building a seriousely small budget esports pc and if i can avoide this, which i think might mean buying a work station type pc anyways. But this might come in handy
