I came to watch this over the 'Controversy' i've been reading about. How Liston threw the fight. I see a clean hit to the chin snapping Liston's head sideways pretty clearly. Not really sure why they stopped the fight though.

For all the conspiracy theory around this fight.....Liston was hit and hurt....the way he shook and went down is legit. But the main tell is this.....if he wanted to take a dive.....he would have stayed down, not gotten up and continued fighting. Jersey Joe Walcott and Nat Fleischer messed up the stoppage.....Liston got up before Walcott counted 10 and the fight should have continued. But Liston looked hurt when he got up, too. I have seen other "light" punches lead to KOs.....Mike McCallum vs Donald Curry in boxing.....Nick Diaz in his first fight with Robbie Lawler. A well timed punch you don't see can be devastating, even if it doesn't look like a huge shot
