Take off your tin foil hat please. If Mobil is the only maker of 0-16 for my '18 Camry with GDI, you bet your ass im using it. This mechanical engineer working in API rotating machinery got his '07 Civic to 400,000+ miles while still getting 43mpg on test runs by doing one thing: changing oil consistently with Mobil or Pennzoil full synthetic products with a Mobil filter and never exceeding 5-8000 OCI. Your video is alarmist misleading and incorrect.
ОтветитьBrad Penn Oil!!! FTW
ОтветитьI have no plans of ever buying a car with a turbo, or with GDI only fuel injection.
And my Prius' fuel economy is fine.
Use a good quality full or synthetic blend oil and change every 5k no more. Wanna be a bit more protective and have your truck/car last longer? Change every 3,500. Your vehicle will thank you for it.
ОтветитьValvoline Advanced has API SP standard already as well as ILSAC GF-6
Ответитьwho care your opinion bro
ОтветитьEven BMW recommends Castrol 😂😂
ОтветитьThanks for the info - some companies are still behind in the ratings.
ОтветитьReally??
Any of these oil are perfectly fine.
In fact, the bulk purchased oil your local mechanic stocks in the shop are the questionable ones.
Scotty said otherwise
ОтветитьI don't use mechanic for oil I do it
And I don't have turbo I have 4 cyl
Fuel injection so I'm good
Old news, already in 2023 all oils comply with the API SP standard. There may be some still API SN or SN plus, but they are generally old productions. Then you can update your video or better remove it.
ОтветитьBeen using super tech synthetic in my 2013 chevy spark since 30k mikes, still running at 149k miles. Oil change every 7k miles. 5 speed 42mpg. Best $12,890 spent 😂🎉
ОтветитьIf your car is turbo make sure your oil is SN PLUS RATED.
ОтветитьCan I use Mobil 1™ FS X2 5W-40 for my 2011 VW Polo 1.2 TDI driven for 149000 kms , or can you suggest the best oil for my car ?
ОтветитьGet on this ILSAC!
ОтветитьThe video is talking in circles. Start with the specs that are needed & list them on the screen. Then find oil brands that have those specs.
ОтветитьAll of these comments are all speculative based on where you live. What kind of vehicle you have in the requirements of the engines?... Take these all with a grain of salt. DYOR.
ОтветитьBro named off 3 of the best oils 😭😭 he doesn’t know show nun
ОтветитьWhat a GOOBER! Use what it was rated for. If your GDI or turbo says SN then use SN or SN+.
Ответитьany update on these companies ?
ОтветитьI always leave here feeling like my I.Q. has been adjusted.
ОтветитьWhy everybody misunderstands the point of this video..namely, an oil designed to protect a modern gdi turbo engine, is beyond me...someone even bring up a 2002 honda accord, which doesn't fit the bill, by a large margin. On a side note, i just flushed my dealer provided 'synthetic' oil with the ultra pennzoil, same weight. Night and day, as my 2022 turbo gdi engine is tons quieter now. Argue all you want, i'm not looking back. Cheers
ОтветитьI don't believe your horror stories....
ОтветитьLíes!
Ответить??? So wtf you been using ?? And aaaalllll these major brands don’t know what they doin? Ps I use Mobil 1 and penzoil full synthetic 🤨.
ОтветитьWhat a crock.
ОтветитьI’ll never stop using Mobil 1….sorry. Probably the #1 best oil there is and I’ve never had any issues with it.
ОтветитьI drive old vehicles anyway so who gives a s***
ОтветитьMobile one took me to 250k miles on a Mazda protégé before it was killed by deer.
ОтветитьThis guy is ignorant.
ОтветитьI don’t believe that a small capacity turbo engine is economical
ОтветитьDebil
Ответить😂
ОтветитьHe usado solo Mobil 1 Sintético Aceite por 17 años cada 4 meses y mis carros me dicen que me aman !!!!
Definitivamente moriré usando Mobil 1
When you look at a bottle of GF-6 oil, you might notice an “A” or “B” listed after the GF-6. GF-6A lubricants being backward compatible means that GF-6A engine oils that are “legacy” viscosity grades covered under GF-5. GF-6A oils can be used in older vehicles that call for GF-1 to GF-5. This means GF-6 covers most vehicles made after 1992.
The new GF-6B specifications are for new lighter weight multi-viscosity oils used by more modern vehicles. These oils are not backward compatible because of the new viscosity grades. GF-6B engine oils should only be used when recommended by the OEM (follow the owner’s manual). 0W8 is another planned viscosity that will be in the GF-6B category
Mobil 1 b8 a4 oil makes car extreme hot verry bad petronas even better
Castrol c2 s/s magnesium very good
they have just to change the label🤣
ОтветитьComplete Ignorance at its best, can't ask for more stupidity and ignorance of an uneducated person in the matter, so what are we supposed to use? Olive oil?
ОтветитьIf a particular brand of oil was the culprit of premature engine failure across the country that company would be sued completely out of existence.
ОтветитьWhat about Quaker State oils? I've heard they cause sludge & build up over time. After my friend took apart his ls block before rebuilding recently it was a good amount of sludge and this was a 2013 silverado with around 140k on it. He bought it fairly new in about 2014 with less that 7k on the truck all he's ran was Quaker State.
ОтветитьHe probably works in jiffy lube
ОтветитьI’ve been using Quaker state in my 2018 Silverado for years lol runs fine
Ответитьnice video but what oil do you recommended for a Mercedes W203 M271
ОтветитьI have been using Castrol full synthetic for a lot of years in mutable cars and trucks with no problems but I'm old school anough I want touch pensoil I saw what it can do to motors
ОтветитьThis was also 2 years ago
ОтветитьI am a believer in Mobil 1 and so is 2000 Civic
ОтветитьMotul any good?
Ответить2014 toyota camry 2.5L 372000, used MOBIL1 10000 or 20000 intervals..... no problems. Engine is strong.
