Dealing with Spies as Heavy

I once made a spy rage quit when I was playing heavy.

yes, I am heavy main and i find this very helpful. Btw who knows how to cloak as heavy?

As a spy main, these are good tips.
I will now give methods I use to kill slightly more wary heavies - the reader of this should be able to figure out methods to counter my methods.

When I see a heavy walking out of spawn who checks his back, there are a few things I do if I try to go for him.
If I'm on an elevated area, which is often with maps that have them (due to how good they are for getting stabs), I jump just before he finishes checking his back. This means I land after he turns back. This happens often in harvest, as an example, since heavies often go around the main building when walking out of spawn.
Another is to look at which direction he turns around in, and approach from the other direction. If he fully turns backwards and forwards (as opposed to only partially turning around), I usually don't try this though, as there is no margin for error and he'll be able to see me no matter what when I'm really close.
Lastly, I just wait for him to get into a fight. Unless the heavy is surrounded on all sides by teammates, this basically guarantees the kill, as the heavy obviously can't check his back in the middle of a fight, as by doing so he'll probably lose the fight anyway.

If I fail a stab on a heavy and somehow get away alive, or bump into a heavy while cloaked (usually in narrow hallways), I wait for the heavy to finish checking for spies before continuing to wait. A good heavy will only pretend to stop spychecking, so I wait a few seconds longer (5 or so, if I have the cloak - if not, I seek another target) to see if he truly has stopped. If he then gets into a fight, I then go for the stab. Either that or I just go in a loop around and back to him (in harvest, this might be going into the main building, going up the stairs onto the roof, and then back to him) so his mind is off me by the time I return.

I don't go for heavies whose backs and sides are very far away from entrances to buildings. It takes too long to get to them - by the time I reach him, either he would have either spychecked, or I would have been gunned down by his teammates. Too much risk for not enough reward.

Couldn't leave spawn died 23 times to spies i was the only heavy and my team needed me and refused to help me actually get to the fight a single fucking time

Dude, just look at your back. The real fear here is snipers. They can just one shot you from any distance they want and you can't do shit because you're a heavy. I just get so pissed at snipers

Scouts running slower than usual might just have the Baby Face's Blaster, which I do indeed use.

And don't forget to shoot BOOLETS and say thanks after every kill

Another trick I found useful is leading your team. If a spy tries to stab you, your buddies behind you can see the spy and kill it. Make sure you listen for audio cues, like death cries or stabbing noises when you are leading so you can turn around and blast the spy that just killed or tried to kill your teammate you are leading.
