There were only 39 episodes of this — a single season, back then — but it was rerun on Saturday mornings for many years. I remember being surprised to find that the beautiful theme music was take from the earlier film. In fact, I was surprised there was an earlier film. I'm very glad to see the series is being preserved here. (BTW the kid looks a lot younger than I remember!)

To think that they used to write complete unique orchestral scores for these TV programmes! That wouldn't happen today I'm sure. Today the music is done with one or two musicians on a keyboard and not much else!

Boy that was the best show I never watched it was awesome I've seen it all.
Now I'm ready to watch another western TV show,

I watched this along with the other horse show called "Fury" when I was a kid. I think this show came on Saturdays mornings either before or after Roy Rogers. The 60s were a great time to be a kid.
