The people who willingly admit they are preppers are idiots. There was an interview 2 years back I saw where a government agent with homeland security ADMITTED the government has a database with EVERY known prepper in North America, and that in the event of a national disaster, the military will attack the known preppers to take their supplies for government use.

If you have to fight every day , you chances of survival goes down , Be smart , go deep into the woods , pick your battels wisely.

The older son, Christopher, seems like a lot of the younger generation because they really don't understand any of the different situations that could arise in the world. Eventhough they may be taught history, geography, weather (science) in school most young people put it in a far off place or something that did happen but won't happen.

Lucky Amanda’s husband is wealthy so they could buy a mansion. Imagine if they were homeless and she heard the voices?

Yeah they are screwed if they are store depending , learn a skill that can help you if the SHTF .

Ray and Lindsay are a bit more aligned with my philosophy. Their no bs approach is so much better than a lot of preppers on this show. There are too many shoot first and things go boom preppers who have no idea how to make food. You have to have to balance homesteading knowledge with a real world physical setup like having enough viable land to grow enough food for the rest of you and your kids lives. Security is built on top of that homestead. Food preservation knowledge and the materials (in bulk with redundancy) to preserve your hard grown foods are essential. Hunting and fishing just won't cut it with climate change and forecasts showing that 25% of all species will dissappear in the next 75 years. Growing food in a warming planet with the risk of drought, forest fires, floods and major weather events need to be taken into account for the type of vegetables you can grow.
