Dude looks like he has the flu
ОтветитьIt's a sad state of reality that when you see a car you might consider buying, or at least go test drive, and then realize that it's not really for sale to you.
ОтветитьIll add it looks prime for a K swap.
ОтветитьGratuitous hoodie... As an urban dweller, I thank you for the dry dry dry humor.
ОтветитьI cant wait until they have almost zero inventory in half the state
ОтветитьWill be getting a used 2022 prime....larger inside, more aerodynamic and is readily available.....does 30 miles on electric only...and that is all that i need.......if i wanted speed, i would not buy a prius..
ОтветитьI owned the RAV4 Prime with the same power train and powertrain options and it’s awesome…I loved being able to hold it in EV mode when driving locally, and then have the engine charge the motor while on long drives on the highway so I had EV power for local roads (which is a better driving experience than an ICE). Also reallllly like that you can keep it in EV only mode (I think it’ll stay in it up to 80mph unless some other extreme things are happening) even when you floor it.
ОтветитьNot in the market at the moment, but with high gas prices, the awfulness of urban/suburban driving, and high-value relative to what you get, it's really hard to beat hybrids relative to the non-hybrid economy/commodity cars and more expensive electric options right now. I couldn't get behind the hybrid driving experience before, but they have gotten really polished, particularly the Honda, Toyota, and Hyundai vehicles. If I'm looking in the next couple years, the Prius (either version) and the upcoming Honda Civic hatchback hybrid would be top considerations. My perfect do-everything car is a smallish practical hatchback, with good gas mileage, clean/sleek styling, decent driving characteristics, and decent build quality/comfort. The old Prius only hit the first criteria, and everything else was a problem for me. The new Prius styling almost reminds me of a successor to my former 2007 Honda Civic Coupe with it's sleek, clean, wedge design and even the dashboard layout. I'm not looking for a sports car, still my only hesitation would be that I might find the driving dynamics too soft, but I would test drive it with an open mind.
ОтветитьI'm going to go out on a limb here and say that modern cars don't appeal to people over 40. I'm saying that as a 43 year old Canadian dude that lives in Japan. I just want to get into a car and drive. I actually still buy and listen to CDs in my car because I don't want to have to fiddle around with my smartphone or my "infotainment system" to play music. That said, I like the looks of the new Prius. I'd drive that before a new butt ugly Honda Accord any day. But because I live in Japan, I drool when I see low km JDM cars like Vigors, Preludes, EK9s, etc. I doubt I'll ever buy a "new" car while I'm living here.
Ответитьlol! I remember that "cab forward" commercial in the 90's.
ОтветитьWas always a Prius hater ( while loving the tech advantages). Love the exterior redesign but the interior (Front seat forward) is horrendous. I hope they clean up the space loss as well as redesign the dash. These stick-on info/audio systems really affect the sightlines and look extremely cheap.. Look to Audi or VW for a EV dash layout or just go retro with a digital style. This is a beautiful car with great capability, don't make the driving experience look so cheap.
ОтветитьWhy would one force charge the battery from engine?
ОтветитьTROLL! . . . Shame on you!
ОтветитьI would take any previous generation over this de contented Toyota crown
ОтветитьAmericans reviewing cars: "oh, it's not as fast as a Porsche or luxurious as a Rolls, therefore I don't like it."
ОтветитьThe Prius was designed for Japanese midgets. If you’re anywhere near six feet tall, you will find it difficult to get into and out of the 2023 Prius. I’ve had five Prius’s. There won’t be number six. That’s guaranteed.
ОтветитьBeautiful car , practical all the tech, reliable
Great MPG Dayum Toyota is a G
If I decide to say goodbye to my present sedan (yup--I hate SUVs), this would be on the short list (and I do agree with you--it probably is too soon to buy EVs--even well-executed ones, like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 appears to be).
ОтветитьPrius GR with an actually fun (and not just low) suspension would be cool
ОтветитьOMG....butt cream. I'm rolling! 😂
ОтветитьShitbox 😂
ОтветитьThe 2023 Prius was designed for Japanese midgets. It’s way too difficult to get into and get out of. I’ve had five Prius’s. There won’t be number six.
ОтветитьDoes the all glass roof create any excessive heat?
Ответитьi want more! Great review but why no curb weight and cross balance? This is a sports machine and deserves to be treated like the legit brz competitor it is. O and it is less than 1/2 as expensive to operate. Maybe it could tow Jacks to the track.
Ответитьa cheese wedge with bling...LOL
ОтветитьWhat a great Prius.
ОтветитьThank God a car that I can fit my awards and butt cream!
ОтветитьFirst, the tires are the upgraded version which looks great but cuts mpg to 40. Next, I am driving a 2021 model Prius. I drive it as I drove my Vette. Do you know that I have NEVER been beaten off a red light...EVER! Now, this driving performance does cut the mpg a bit. Also, my model has 3 big screens, the central one is 11.5 inches. Mine also has a heads up display that can be changed for height and what you want to see. What makes me laugh is my older Prius still looks better than most SUVs!
ОтветитьYou are absolutely correct - the A pillars were the 'no go' for my wife who drove a Prius 5 for 6 years ( great car btw ) - but I bought her a new Forester instead ........ much better overall package - we don't drive enough miles to need to get 50 mpg anyway - get the upgraded stereo and larger touch screen with the two tone grey black interior - the same Pearl white like on a Prius can be had on the Forester ........ such a no brainer I bought another Forester for my older son......
Ответить60% more power than it's predecessor, 3s faster to from 0-60mph than it's predecessor and a hole lot sexier as well.... Tell me which other car brands have managed that for 1 generation to the next. From Mclaren, Porsche ferrari Lamborghini BMW Mercedes or audi.. Which car has ever done such a thing?
ОтветитьThis is WAYYYYYY better than the last one. It actually looks good. The past version made me throw up. The fact its actually got some passing power now really makes this a good car.
Ответитьmost cars had trouble keeping up with me on the free way in this puppy LOL
Ответитьthe guardian gray color looks absolute amazing. so now it has gas efficiency, looks AND power....something it was lacking before and discouraged me from getting a prius...
ОтветитьI have a 2014 Prius with over 200,000 miles on it with no repairs what so ever (just routine maintenance) and love it BUT I'd love to buy a new one if I can ever find one that's not being held hostage!! Prius has NEVER been a performance vehicle and doesn't pretend to be. 50+ MPG works for me!!
ОтветитьSo glad theres room for the butt cream. otherwise its a deal breaker for me
ОтветитьThis new HDR footage looks absolutely spectacular! Makes these already phenomenal videos better still to watch👍🏻
ОтветитьI have always hated the visibility in these any time I have driven one, not sure how different this is from older ones.
ОтветитьI really dig this car. I think this is Toyota's best looking car in many years. With some coilovers and better rubber it'd be a perfect daily.
ОтветитьCab forward a concept Chrysler grow from the times it owned Lomborgini. I used to have a Chrysler voyager with Koni shocks. Loved the drive position on that boxy van. Great presentation, thank you!
Ответитьoh bb prime me
ОтветитьI think the new Prius Prime is serious competition for the Model 3.
ОтветитьFun fact, this thing has a worse coefficient of drag than not only the previous generation of Prius, but also the BMW iX, which manages to have a Cd of 0.26
ОтветитьHow to use the full 220HP? Would it be Sport mode and HV mode?
ОтветитьDo you know what mode you would use for the best fuel economy for long distance trips?
ОтветитьToyota does not have the resources to produce lots of EVs? Okay then, I'll just have to buy one of the millions of EVs that Tesla makes each year.
ОтветитьPrius used to be 59 inches tall now 56. Why lower the roofline and make the inside more cramped
ОтветитьTwo things I don't like is........ 1) the fixed glass roof. I want the roof to open. And 2) I don't see the rear wiper on the back window. I had a 2nd gen Prius and I'm a person who used the rear wiper. Really helped with vision.
ОтветитьUnder Joe Biden there's no good deals anymore... But he has a "D" by his name , so all is forgiven.
Ответить
