Great run! 👏🏻
ОтветитьVery nice picture! High quality filming and narration, well done. A bit over-dramatic for me; above anything else, ultrarunning is deeply beautiful: an amazing experience of profund sync with yourself, the nature and the people around you. During an ultra there's nothing else than the present moment: it's like the whole universe is in your every step. Suffering is just one aspect of it, as big or insignificant as you and your mind let it be.
ОтветитьI hope I could achieve this feat one day.
ОтветитьI’m here because Kara and Nate told me to
ОтветитьLmao the advertisement temporary tattoos are KILLING me. Every time. Hilarious. Good race! Decent documentary!
ОтветитьAlways inspiring! thank you! I love that area of colorado
ОтветитьI know this was a while ago, but I continue to show this film at a drug and alcohol treatment center and it is probably the most important group I can provide for the patients. “ Finding comfort through the discomfort “ . Thank you Billy.
ОтветитьThis video...and the comments below...made me cry..What an amazing story...I'm 64...and wondering if I can pull one off before i die....lol...Thanks for sharing!!
ОтветитьLove the talk about comfort. Been putting myself through alot of uncomfortable things the past couple years and my life is growing and glowing. Mind boggling actually.
ОтветитьLove this!
ОтветитьGreat film & inspiring message. Thank you!
ОтветитьGod bless you Billy for sharing this inspirational video thank you man so much.
ОтветитьI come back to this video every once in a while to remind myself about the beauty of running. I started long distance running at the start of high school and 2 years ago did my first half marathon, next may I will be doing my first full marathon. I'm still 19 and my body is still far from ultramarathon level but one day in the future I'll be able to cross over a finish line after a 100 mile race and thank that little boy back in my past for starting running and never giving up.
ОтветитьWhat's the race name?
Ответить“Why I still can, I’m going to think about all the people who can’t” Damn Bill.
Ответитьwow !Brilliantly done.Congrats on finishing the race. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the video.
ОтветитьInspiring. Motivating. Challenging.
ОтветитьThanks for this film. It’s so good to see what these events mean to us ‘normies’. I love watching the elites do their thing, but for me it’s more special to know why and how an ‘ordinary’ person would do something extraordinary. Beautifully shot, edited and composed as well.
Ответить❤
Ответитьawesome video!!!!
ОтветитьI wanted to become a ultra marathon er then I got to know, that it is not good for health.i dropped that goal.i wanted to run for better health, and not spoil my health. Now I will restrict myself to 10 km.
If we can do anything,it doesn't mean we need to do it. I apologise in advance if i offend any long distance runner. It is just a personal choice
So overwhelming great video, thanks alot for sharing it 😅😅
ОтветитьHell yeah this was awesome! LFG!
ОтветитьWhat an amazing and inspiring video. This reminds us to appreciate the little things and be greatful for what we do have but remember those that can’t do what we can and do it for us and them. I will be doing my first 100 miler next month. Any tips that anyone can give me I will appreciate it? My training was so off. But I plan on finishing no matter what
Ответитьyes
ОтветитьI have only ran 1/2 marathon as of now
ОтветитьI live in Weirton WV near Pittsburgh for now
ОтветитьColorado is my 2nd home
ОтветитьI'm running a 50k ultra in just under 4 weeks, had 10 weeks to train from when it was booked. This video is so inspiring. Thank you, for reminding me of my why. Keep changing the world!
ОтветитьIncredible video
Ответитьso so epic, this video is so inspiring
ОтветитьMan, I just did my first 5k about two weeks ago. I went from being an absolute couch potato to doing my first 5k in two/three weeks (my stepdad signed me up for it). So I started training with my friend and fellow couch potato, made that friendship even stronger. During the 5k, something I didn't take into account are the people you run with and the people cheering you on. I've found my new hobby and can't believe how much joy something so seemingly simple gives me, next up in about a month is a 10k and we'll go further from there!
ОтветитьLove the video Billy! I have yet to actually do any ultras or marathon events due to financial issues, I'll probably never be able to, but running it on my own is good enough.
ОтветитьThank you so much for sharing your story with us. I agree that when we pass, we want to leave a body that tells our story, and I am in a time in my life where running and family are really all I have. I was laid off, and I am using this time to dig deep and settle into longer runs that center me and allow me to learn how to endure the challenge of trying to find a new role. It is interesting the way in which the connection running gives us to our body feeds our soul during difficult times. I have a lot to learn from you. Thanks.
ОтветитьIf only the rest of the internet was as positive and supportive as this comments thread. Imagine.
Ответитьsoo good ! congratz!
ОтветитьOne of my best 100miles documentary. Full of didication, positivity, and truly inspiration.. I HOPE I Cross thE FINISHLINE on my first 100miles for this coming weekend. AMEN🙏
ОтветитьI've watched a LOT of ultra docs--like, a LOT--and this is by far my favorite. Also the only one that's ever actually made me want to run again, after having the love of running pounded out of me by the Army.
Ответитьthat’s amazing know mater what
ОтветитьVery good Billy . Very good
ОтветитьBegins with gratitude, I love it!
ОтветитьLOL, I gave up running for better things, I don't think of life as just a selfish sacrifice - which can be a great attitude for earning money or getting attention. There's a little extra thing called consideration for others. Yes, it's secondary, but it totally changes your life objectives when you add the others. It changes it even more when you qualify others with the word trustworthy. In a sense we already seek others with the same standard of trust as ourselves - however that is totally not the way our world is structured for hidden reasons, so it's likely not to happen.
ОтветитьMy mentor committed suicide a few years ago. He was an ultra runner and I recently stumbled upon our last conversation. I told him I was going to run a half marathon. I absolutely must do it this year.
ОтветитьGreat documentary! Love it!
ОтветитьGoggins will give you a good answer as to why
ОтветитьBilly - thanks for making this - even years on - it has a lasting impact (just read all the comments below!). I blame this video for first starting the brain-worm of doing Leadville. Thanks for pushing us to try - did my best in '22 and came up short in Twin Lakes in-bound (psychologically bonked); this time in 2023 I'm going to finish. And also, congrats on your recent proposal! ;)
ОтветитьWhy? HOW?? 100 Miles...not Km MILES
Ответитьso did you figure out you're a junkie?
ОтветитьWhy a ring light?
