How to Add Subtitles to Video on Mac (VLC)

How do you actually in-bed subtitles permanently ? Doesn't seem to work with VLC.

Ehi bro! I tried this method but it doesn't hardcode permanent subtitles to the video. I'm using MAC and i'm struggling to add permanent subtitles on a video. I followed many tutorials on how to add permanent subtitles by using VLC on a mac but they don't work for me! It works just when I name the two files (subtitles and video) the same, so the subtitles automatically add to the video, but in the end they are not permanent and I can remove them from the options. So how can I do? Anyone who has been in a similar situation ?

the free version does not allow to download subtitles or HD resolution. Subscription fees are too expensive for a single file.

How do i download a video to my mac from VCL after i added the subtitles to it? I want to watch the video without having to watch it on VCL

My VLC does not display like yours. It just shows the video without the other options.

After you do this are the subs permanently saved to the mp4 file? so i watch it on my smart tv cheers

yeah they are added but only when i have this program open. I cant download that file to add it to my google drive...
