It depends on the software the tv has loaded and that software's reviews. I'm hearing don't get a 90B with FW 2011 on it!

i think that the left one set as darker and the right one set as bit brighter. need to adjust bit.

Is there a difference of color type between the two types ? Because I see hotter colors on the ads panel .

The colour is over saturated on the 85. You can get the 90 to do the exact same

Just level up brightness by remote control at QN85B... then results will be the same at both screens -_-

Stuck between these two with only $100 difference, seems everyone continues to lean towards 85b

i have both. The Qn85B is a good tv. The panel is not VA. Looks good from an angle but directly front viewing it does not compare to the QN90B. The QN90B has a VA panel not IPS in all sizes I have both 75 inch
screens. Personally, VA panels are better. Deeper blacks etc. If you want the QN85B to look as good as the QN90B get the 85 inch. The 85 inch comes in a Va panel, looks amazing.

Jut got the qn90b in 75" for 1799€ with 300€ Cashback so 1499€ in total. I can't wait to receiver the TV - I am just worried about dolby vision since I am watching a lot of Netflix content

Is it worth paying €700 more for the QN90B than the QN85A?

If you are filming 2 TVs at the same time , you will need some ND filter/film on the brighter one to match the other one and the ND value will be your delta to be used for brightens. Or you need to film them separately, but adjusting to proper exposure (locked, not auto) via aperture, or iso. not shutter due to frame rate. All that can be ignored if you use a super expensive, great dynamic. range camera.

I have had my lg b6 oled for 6 years got minor burn in so I decided to mount that TV in my room and bought the samsung qn90b it's a piece of trash I returned it to best buy and bought a 65in samsung s95b much much better.

watch these comparison videos back on a laptop or tablet at 2x playback speed

actually trying to decided between qn85b and qn95b, however the 90b has better colors than the 95b and after watching this nice side by side on a MSI Ultrawide, I like the colors on the the 85b better. The 90b often seems too bright and that brightness washes out detail. Thanks for the Video!

You gotta set your camera exposure to manual. Auto exposure is just making the QN90B look over exposed.

You never explained whether the 2 TVs are just out of the box or tuned to same settings.

I just bought the QN85B in 75in. I was at best buy and you can see the details on the QN85B and it doesn't get washed or have a faded blurry from the brighter stars or lights. The QN90B is brighter no doubt brighter but it has faded washed out colors and you can see when it when its compared. They both have their cons and pros but the color is way more detailed and a darker rich tone on the QN85B. For example the QN90B is better when the whole screen is dark and when the whole screen is bright like during day light the QN85B is better.

I have 18 by 11.5 ft room with 2 windows can be blocked by curtains to prevent sun light from entering the room if it is necessary. Of course light reflection might be an issue if the room light is turned on.

The TV will used
%70 of the time to watch soccer games.
%20 of the time to play Xbox or PS5
( Fifa or FPS games ).
%10 of the time to watch movies.

I afford to buy only one of the followings

1 US = 3.75 SAR here in Saudi Arabia

1 - S95B 65 inch …. 9.3k in SAR
2 - QN90B 75 inch …. 10k in SAR
3 - QN85B 85 inch …. 12k in SAR

I love to buy the QN90B 85 inch; however, I cannot afford it. It costs me 19k in SAR.

The max limit I afford is 12k in SAR.

If 65 inch is Ok for the room with a watching distance 15 feet or higher, I will buy S95B or QN90B. Otherwise, QN85B is so large although it has lower quality. I am not if it fits me or not.

Why not including the QN90a? Why we skipping over that one?

Dark scenes in movies, is when you want the best detail. When you get either tv home, you're not going to notice the colour difference, but you will be more satisfied if you can clearly see everything in dark scenes, so the 90 has it for me.

So between a80j and qn85b both 55", and Samsung being 100 dlls more than the Sony, which one will be better? I already have the a80j, but I put like 280 hours per month approx in the tv, and I'm thinking the Samsung will be better with degradation.

I was at a Best Buy yesterday that had these two TVs side by side. I was surprised to see that the QN85B looked better. To me, the extra money you are asked to pay for the QN90B is not worth it. Something else I found interesting is that they had the 75” for each. To the side, they had the 85” NQ85B. That 85” did not look as good as either of the 75”. It was too bright (yes, there is such a thing). It felt like it needed more contrast. The colors got washed out. You would think the 85” would be just a bigger version of the 75”, but instead it looked like an inferior version.

I'm searching for a new TV right now and I was in doubt for these two models.

Samsung is offering a great deal here, that if you buy a QN85B, you earn a HW-Q600B soundbar;
and if you buy a QN90B, you earn a Logitech G935 headset.

Since both TVs are pretty similar, I think that I'll stick with the QN85B and redeem my soundbar :)
