The biggest shame is when the liberals of Indiana took over and made class basketball
It’s a shame they destroyed Hoosier hysteria

They should have comprises played a single tournament every 2 or 4 years

Milan was literally standing in the middle of the floor holding the ball for almost 5 mins running out the clock.

They never tell the part where, Milan held the ball in one pocession, for almost 5 mins in the fourth quarter, before hitting the game winning shot.

I love Hoosiers. Small town South Dakota HS basketball has the same feel. Sometimes the small schools can compete at the highest levels but don’t. They just destroy everyone in their class.

I graduated room a small school ..Indiana. Auburn in 1961. The cry," remember Milan" was still bouncing off the walls. Whether it be the coaches, the players or what ever, the big dream of one day being at the Butler Field House was the largest. We never were great. But by my GOD, we all had that dream. Milan, by far was not the smallest school. There were many having less than 100 students. What Milan showed was the giants have the same weaknesses as the little school. No ever told Milan they could not win. 12 players, with a dream took on that mighty Muncie Central. Like Goliath, the giant fell to David. Ivwill always remember Milan. We, at Auburn, had that same dream. YES WE CAN..

I was thrilled to have been at the Milan gym in 1968 when the Straughn Indians played there! Our little school was even smaller than Milan, and just to be in the building was an unforgettable moment!
