I'm in willcox want to start vlogging my rides in the high desert, witch Camera should I purchase first ?
ОтветитьThank you so much for your explanation you well deserved like mate keep going👍
Ответитьamazing helpful useful.......Pakistan
Ответитьこれは参考になります。😃
ОтветитьWill you give me the information about your windshield and gps?
ОтветитьIs there any way to have a microphone recording without being attached to your camera? The wire sounds so inconvenient 🥲
ОтветитьDoes anyone who uses the Insta360 One RS 4K Boost Lens have a solution for ND filters? Freewell and Insta360 discontinued the only ND filters available for this and I haven't found a solution. Do you just run this on auto all the time? or do you always run at a higher frame rate and shutter speed to control motion blur? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
ОтветитьWhat brand is the small microphone that you use to get sound from inside of your helmet?
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your knowledge with this valuable information. I am a complete novice and would like to know if you are using a Bluetooth switch on the handlebar of the bike to control one or more cameras.
Cheers from Tasmania
Great work, Sterling! I'm new to video while riding even though been riding since 1963. Important question about charging camera devices and backup batteries while riding. What are essentials to doing this? My R1200 has a 90 DIN outlet and an SAE straight off the battery. What's your recommended charge setup? Thx, Alan
ОтветитьI am new to this action camera business. So your tips are right on time for the ride.
ОтветитьHi Sterling, awesome video, I am considering the 360 as well, question how is battery life, how hard to change and what kind of charger do you use for the 360 red batteries ? Thanks for all you do !!! Bear!
ОтветитьI've been wanting to record some ride, but I remember doing that for mountain biking and spending more time setting up shots that actually riding. I think you have to go out with clear priorities and find efficiency to keep the ride flowing. It's a fun side hobby if you have time to do both. I guess that's the appeal of adventure riding (riding, travel, camping, exploring, filming, gear/tech, skill, & speed). All the best stuff.
ОтветитьWhere did you bought your go pro clip holder? And what brand? Thanks bro
ОтветитьVery interesting. Thank you.
ОтветитьThank you!
You hit the head if the nail Sterling, my GoPro 10 randomly freezes at the wrong time!
😅
Great info for us beginners out here. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьThanks for this awesome video Sterling! Do you have any plans to make a how to shoot drone footage on a motorcycle? Would love to see how you capture you amazing footages on your solo trips.
ОтветитьThis is some great help. I’m just starting my motovlogging adventures and love your work.
ОтветитьGreat video Sterling, as usual! I have 2 questions, how do you handle bufetting/clipping of the audio if you have experienced that, are there settings you have set in the camera to compensate? I have yet to find a solution that works for me on my bike. Can you power the camera (one RS) off the bike for continuous filming? I have an Akasso and a Gopro 8. Both suck on the audio side from my experience. The Akasso has small file sizes 700MB chunks unlike the Gopro 2GB chunks. What are the file sizes on the One RS (3 questions I guess haha.) Keep up the great work Sterling.
ОтветитьVery helpful, especially if i can find them in the UK.
The mic on the gripper is a quality tip, I am guessing you remove the chin skirt from the front of the helmet.
Thank you so much for your effort, it was a very helpful video. I'm planing a long trip and you gave me really good and simple ideas on how to create some good memories :)
Ответитьi'm still pissed at gopro. The recording crashed after like 3 seconds into a wicked 10 minute run on the WYBDR. i think insta360 is the best atlernate
Ответитьi think the insta360 x2 is a gamechanger in action cams. it's quite a different world with editing 360 video, but it adds a lot of artistic flexibility being able to pan any direction in post, and not needing to worry about camera pointing
ОтветитьRemember when I said that I bought two Hero 11 GoPros for a trip to South America? Well, one of them failed completely after 10 days of use. It was a battery issue, and they’re sending me a new battery, but that didn’t help when I needed the camera. And the other one just glitches like you’ve experienced.
ОтветитьYes you gave us tons of information. Best I’ve watched. Thank you. I’ll be watching this again.
ОтветитьSterling, do you use a certain editing software and if so, what is it?
ОтветитьI'm really looking forward to your review of the DJI and would love to see a comparison of the two. I'm in the market for a new action camera as my GoPro is just too unreliable. Thank you for putting this together.
ОтветитьExcellent video - learned a few tricks - Thanks. Can you share the camera case model and manufacturer?
Ответитьgreat set up ! thanks, what was the total cost if I may ask. TIA
ОтветитьGreat vid and review. I’m hoping to make it to your motel late Feb. I’m also seriously looking at the Insta RS! Nice upgrade from the current Hero 5. Thank you for another really helpful vid.
ОтветитьGreat video and just ordered my first action camera and set up using your Amazon store! I've been going back and forth about getting an action camera, which one, and set up for a year now and this video gave me the kick I needed to just do it. Thank you for putting this together and can't wait to start videoing my bike rides...when it's not -13F outside. 🥶😂
ОтветитьVery useful info for me. Thank you very much
ОтветитьSterling, thanks for all the excellent information. I just ordered the Dango Design Gripper (I think I got there through your links, so maybe Amazon will give you a little kickback - LOL...probably about a dime...) The Insta cameras look really nice. It's exciting to see all the new action cameras that are being developed.
Really enjoy your adventure ride videos, and appreciate how you go through the equipment you use and camping tips. Thanks!
Im very much into the DJI Action 3 lately, Im certain the stabilization would be perfect for moto vlogging
ОтветитьThanks for sharing! Would highly recommend the Osmo Action 3 too. I think you’re going to love it. Hope you can share your experienc
ОтветитьMy gopro days are gone. Switched to Osmo Action 3 and it’s been performing well so far.
ОтветитьAfter seeing this I had to get the OneRS...sheesh. :) Quick question though, not that I'll be doing much moto vloging. I have a cardo com system attached to my helmet and it seems like as long as I'm not needing the mic I could unplug the mic from the cardo system and use an extension cable to plug that mic into the OneRS mic adaptor for an occasional live narration. I haven't tried this since I don't have the mic adaptor yet but does that seem like a likely way to do it?
ОтветитьHi Sterling. You gonna be very happy with osmo action 3.
Regarding GoPro freezing. I used to be there and I had same problem but no anymore. I can tell you a tip what to do to not have freezing problem.
If you interested first let me know if you use SanDisk memory cards with GoPro?
Think of the skill and effort just to produce this video! The Dango mount is the go to and mounting the mic to it allows quick removal of both camera and microphone as one. Thanks for the generous tips and insight.
Ответитьexcellent video. Thanks a ton.
ОтветитьThank you soooo much for sharing your knowledge. I have learned so much from you. I just bought two of those quick releases. Game changer for sure!!!
ОтветитьIt would be great if you could provide a link for the microphone you you use on the helmet. I've been searching for one like it but am unable to find one.
ОтветитьSuper 💪 fajne gadżety!!!
Pozdrawiam z Polski 👍
I can't wait to see what you put out this coming year Sterling!
ОтветитьNice experiment. IMO If DJI can sort out the focus issue on the Osmo Action 3 that would be my preferred choice. Not as good as the gopro 11 in terms of dynamic range, lens flair and control of the highlights, but there is something to be said for user friendliness. It's also the smallest of the three (GoPro, Osmo 3, One RS). The One RS over sharpens too much, and is pretty bulky. Really not a fan of the 360 footage, the hardware isn't quite there yet for me. As you say, simple and quickest is always going to win when trying to record on the bike.
ОтветитьVery good! I have yet to dive in to this stuff so this helps thx
