What is the meaning of changing your outfit when you can't see it?

First person only works if the game isn't an RPG such as Far Cry and COD Campaigns but in Cyberpunk what was the point of having character customization then....

I absolutely get why they did the first person dialogues and cut scenes especially with the story it just makes sense, I want to see my character once in a while though 😀 I really hope CDP gives us the option eventually

I refuse to play this game in first person mode. If they give a 3rd person update free or paid I Will buy it expeditiously

If we want 3rd person we are GTA Bots who need to open our minds.... I just paid money for this game and want to enjoy it without motion sickness but im just a Bot wit a Bot mentality.

funny thing is that the dev said this game was not designed to have 3rd person and funniest part of that argument is that a player has managed to develop a almost perfect 3rd person mode for game, without even having access to any of the original game resources. i don't hate the first person but just like said by many other players, i too think that all open world games should have both first and 3rd person modes.

Them deciding to building this game around being first person only was such a dumbass decision on their part.

I just got the game and my thing is, what’s the point of even dressing your character if you can’t even see them 90% of the time. That’s what confuses me. I know a patch made it where you can lock in outfits, but still if the only time I see my character’s clothes is when I look at the ground, n a car or the menu it just seems silly

The thing that kills me is not so much the first person going around the world and for combat, sure. It's when it comes to conversations and cutscenes. They even showed 3rd person cutscenes in the promo footage, so why not? It would add a lot of personality and cinematography to scenes and let us feel more invested in our character imo

I'd love seeing the clothes sway with movement as well. Additional luster perhaps

Like, man, look how much better it is with 3rd person. I get to actually see my character since the only time I see reflections is when I click a damn mirror

you know i wanted to buy this game but its in first person. i always look at my character in skyrim and fallout, I love admiring my character

Having no third person made zero sense after the all the screaming about character customization. We literally only see our characters in mirrors or when we pause like wtf

I love the 3rd person mod but I still need the better animation

I've just finished CP, stunning game, way short, but everything was fantastic outside of some technical issues and occasional bug. But yeah, my main gripe is, why even have the character customizable if you never see it outside of the character menu and in some mirrors. It's really pointless.
I came out of Fallout 4, where every interaction with NPC is 3rd person and really works even if it's a bit crude, but then playing CP right after just felt like it was missing something important. They really should have focused on that.

I reckon they could probably do it. Only caviat is cutscenes need to be in first person, a reverse of what rdr2 does for example. That should fix any mocap issues (id imagine). Then they fix animations in third person and hey presto

In first person you lose all this CAKE of your character...

I still find it funny that Elderscrolls and Fallout came out way before this and they were like "What? A 1st and 3rd person option for gameplay? A complete blueprint to sucess? Will somebody throw that in the trash please, this is a 1st person experience."
