Why not build a rectangle that raises the counter up to the height that you like, and need. It could be a very simple box shape that could be lifted off of the counter or fold it up against the wall, using up 9 + inches of counter space at the back of the counter, when not in use.
I don’t think that mostly people use the back of their counter so it wouldn’t be bad on Kyde.
Do you know you could’ve done that blocking better on the deck. Instead of putting it flat up against their windows, why not set it at an angle you’ll lose a few feet of a deck that you don’t know what to do with, and they will gain a view of nature, even if it’s small. I love the sound of cicadas.
ОтветитьSo dang inexpensive when compared to Kaua'i. And so well laid out.
ОтветитьLeaving D-BOT IN THE SHOWER, let's me know everything I need to know about ur true character.
FREE D-BOT!
I'm just fucking around btw, for anyone taking this comment s seriously....
Humor- it used to be a thing-without ppl. needing to point it out.
I've always been curious about how Japanese live. I pictured little houses with paper walls and everyone sits on the floor to eat. They have a lot of little conveniences that we in America don't have. Nice.
ОтветитьYou have a fan in every room. Looks like you have heat in each room. Do you have AC?
ОтветитьHALF HOUSE, from the design. Just kidding, congratulations!
Ответитьfor Vietnamese people who are living in Japan, we feel it is uncomfortable when use toilet in Japanese houses, not only one but most of houses similarly. Toilets are small, not so ergonomic and difficult to clean.
ОтветитьWhat you doing there 😏😏😏😏😏
ОтветитьAlso two meters tall and the US Navy sent me to live in Sasebo for three years. For some reason my unwanted nickname became Chisai
ОтветитьBjork, yay! Hi guys, I'm from the UK, and just wanted to say I've been binge-watching your entire Japan playlist for the last 2-3 weeks and I'm loving it! I've long been interested in Japan, but even more so recently since getting into the band Babymetal.
ОтветитьI've been watching your channel for a while now, happy for the two of you😊 on your new adventure, a brand new home Congratulations!! Eric, always funny drinking from the toilet must be a guy thing 😅I live in Texas, and the cicadas, are supper noisy but we get use to it. glad to see ya'll thriving.
ОтветитьWell congratulations you guys, this is so cool. 😊😊I'm doing major Kyde & Eric catch up time. Excited for more adventures to come, as always!! Proud of y'all 🤗
ОтветитьI don’t know them but her silly faces and reactions irritated me. She keeps complaining about everthing unsympathetically.
ОтветитьI've been watching you guys since you first moved out there. Awesome to see you guys thriving!
ОтветитьAlso, after all of that rural historical houses in Japan - having exactly new modern house in good location is the wisest decision
ОтветитьSo nice😍 and you, guys, so cool. Amazing dwelling! So funny, I thought your light tables in living room were looking like teeth with caries... a then I saw that it was Tanuki there)
ОтветитьI remember back in Tokyo in the late 1980s a friend was so excited because he bought a rural farmhouse in Chiba on 1,000 sq m of land for 35 million. Today, the same place would be worth about 12 million.
ОтветитьAh...Tachikawa.....I was in the US Air Force and stationed at Tachikawa AB from 1965 - 1967. I know the base has been closed for some time and I wonder how close you might be to the old base boundaries. Regarding the train, my buddies and me would take it to Shinjiku (sp) all the time. Also loved Akihabara (sp). My wife and I visited Japan in the 80's and I'd love to come back. Congrats on your new home.
ОтветитьNice house🥰
In Japan we use a very light ladder or 脚立to reach those overhead cabinets in a genkan. Mostly, Japanese household have them because we use them when changing bulb lights or use them in some unpredictable incidents. And spaces are important because this is a small island compared to the US, that is why densed cities like Tokyo has the majority of small houses.
Being Adaptive is always convenient when living in other countries.
Can you moon people out the toilet window??
It’s been a minute since I’ve had a chance to enjoy your videos, you’re both still as charming and humble as I remembered.
Soundproofing is tremendously interesting topic to me; I am impressed with the balcony doors therefore. No wonder Japanese anime/entertainment can’t imagine hot weather without cicadas.
I hecking ❤️ that appliance shelf in your kitchen. I also really enjoy grilled fish, but respect that you don’t want to use that thing.
I totally get it about the toilets. 🚽 🚽
That reminds me...I want laundry (drying) lines.
Congrats on the house!
ОтветитьAmazing and informative, congratulations 🎉
ОтветитьCongrats! So happy for you guys!
ОтветитьDouble lock is very similar to my lock in the UK
ОтветитьTo be honest with you, I think the cicadas would freak me out after a while. That's intense!! 🤣
ОтветитьThat's a dope celeste shirt. Where'd you get it?
ОтветитьShould have got a free home?
ОтветитьIn asia we don't wear shoes or anything inside house ...only there are seperate footwear or only socks
ОтветитьVery happy for you guys! Thanks for sharing! Lots of health And love!
ОтветитьWhat are the rules of ppl from overseas buying houses
ОтветитьAmazing, congratulations! 🥳🥳🥳
ОтветитьI haven’t seen your videos for a whole year and when I come back you’ve bought a house! Love it. Those bugs are really noisy though. Napalm would take them out but I think your neighbours might object. Seriously though, I wish you every happiness in your new home from here in the UK!
ОтветитьIt looks fantastic! Congratulations!
ОтветитьIt's a beautiful house! I'm so happy for you!
ОтветитьI like this house tour video but the fridge doors don’t reverse. Do you have something more along the lines of a house tour video where the fridge doors do reverse?
ОтветитьBeen enjoying yr wonderful videos for a decade, squatting toilet adventures in SEA, Indiana Jones scene in Petra to visiting yr home town. I remember a comment from long ago that said it best "You let my mind go where my body can't". Huge Gratz to u both, luvs and hugs.
ОтветитьMy dog had some strong opinions about the single cicada noise at 17 minutes.
ОтветитьThe dungeon is for keeping nuka pickles.
ОтветитьGratz on the home, allways nice to have a place you can truly call yours
ОтветитьAre yall worried about falling off the deck by accident. i would think a railing of some sort would have been installed. very nice home though
ОтветитьVR play space!
ОтветитьLooks like a house cut in 1/3 from the top down and split them compared to the housed here in the states.
ОтветитьFor me, the coolest thing is the t-shirt wall.
ОтветитьI'm so happy for you guys :) You clearly are absolutely loving your new home. May you love it long time!
ОтветитьThat was a really interesting and informative video. I think you’ve really fallen on your feet with this purchase. Fancy having a deck with a view over nature.
ОтветитьCongratulations guys! You guys have such a beautiful home! Haven't seen you guys in a while but I'm very happy for you guys.
ОтветитьDoes the building depreciate due to the high/ higher probability of Earthquakes? Cut house, but it would drive me nuts. Lol
