Why does some cutlery after coming out the dishwasher have rust on it even though they're stainless steel?

White vinegar literally cleans everything... It's a genuine replacement for pretty much all cleaning products and even unblocks drains! So much cheaper too.

This works well. An alternative is to sprinkle the affected area with a little baking soda and then scrub away the rust.
