It's really interesting seeing how your paint schemes within a faction shift over the years. If you were to paint this one again, would you use the Fyreslayer/Iyanden mix instead of Gryffhound for the ochre markings and the Black Templar over Leviadon that you used on later Tau stuff for the black?
ОтветитьWonderful job! Is there a way to do this with only contrast?
Ответить*In depth painting of a detailed miniature model*

I hear the cries of a certain Captain-General off in the distance.
ОтветитьGreat job on SS! Have you applied contrast to the larger suits, if so, what techniques do you use?
ОтветитьI'm currently working on Commander Shadowsun and this video has been very helpful! One quick question: What about the T'au markings that are normally transfer sheets? I have a bunch, but they are all red from the Vior'la scheme. This box doesn't come with orange transfer sheets unless I misplaced them. Did you freehand the T'au markings? Thanks!....whoops, just scrolled down and you mentioned that you did them freehand. Impressive!
ОтветитьYour Grey Seer primer looks so smooth, almost gloss-like. Is it a rattle can or airbrushed on?
ОтветитьIs there a certain army you collect? Or do you just paint whatever looks cool
ОтветитьHi, can I check for tha apothecary white layer, do you refill the brush for every part of the armour? I can't really get such a good contrast, but it maybe because I'm going over multiple parts with one fill of paint?
ОтветитьWould love to see more T'Au to be honest. Iam so scared to fuck up with white color that I literally soaked up every second of this video to give it my best. Helped a lot for my first ever fire warrior ;D
ОтветитьAwesome
ОтветитьLittle Kitten approves this
Ответитьdoes anyone know what he means by thinned down?? this is my first model and i literally have no clue how to paint it and im super nervous
ОтветитьI had a white tau army when tau were first released in the 40k universe (when the tan color was the main one..) and man I wish we had the paints we have now.
I have primed my models in Gray seer and done some white contrast and like you say it's kinda gray.
I was hoping to not have to apply more white afterwards as my time in limited these days but I suppose you got to do what you got to do :-(
Amazing work. I am curious, you use the paints straight from the pot, do you not thing them at all with a little water?
ОтветитьMy shadowsun is primed in Corax white, would that effect this paint scheme/style at all or am I ok?
ОтветитьAmazing work. How did you do the orange symbols? Did you free hand them all?
ОтветитьThis is impressive. Can't wait to follow it along once my shadowsun is built and the rest of my t'au army. Big thumbs up!
ОтветитьWow I love your contrast tutorials. Your models come out awesome!
ОтветитьHow thin is your Paint? That stuff paints more like a wash
ОтветитьLove your work mate! Thanks for lovely commission you made me!
ОтветитьKeep up the great work bud! Your painting videos are fantastic.
