I was very disapointed when i found out they changed the story. Loved the idea of the ai in your head and how powerless they felt. Reaminds of a good game "cough" "cough" portal 2 "cough" "cough". I guess the not having a sister hurt me a little, but the disappointment I saw on jacksepticeye's face was absolutely heartbreaking. It really sucks having your favorite thing the second of it and turning out horrible.

This main character got a good ending other than the first one

Sam should of just tried to cure it right away instead of exploding it

One thing thats kinda a dark hidden hint in this game is if you find a gold fish egg. And hatch it,

Robin and Al An have a conversation about pets. And him not knowing the difference between a pet and a research subject.

Offhandly he mentions on his world, Robin would be considered like his pet.

I dont think its intentional to the story. But it has some really dark connotations when you think of her going with him in the end.

Just wanted to mention, maybe changing the Oxygen tanks and a few other things like the headlights and vehicle modules to really nail in that sign of progression.

I wish Below Zero went with the original story before it was scraped and replaced to the one we have now. The last one was far more interesting imo

I like old plot way more, this one seems kinda weird because you literally can get the ending without even learning about Sam's death lol

with crushing 23h of gameplay I just finished, I can sadly say that this game lacked something. Here are some of my thoughts
-The game feels more like a DLC to the first game.
-Subnautica 1 had more open space, which gave the game more fright, by bringing out the wast nothingness. While Subnautica 2 focuses more on claustrophobia, which is too common in gaming genres.
-AL-AN was in your head. What Subnautica did great, was to sell the feeling that you are alone, nothing you can do. And the main character was silent, which made it feel more like Half Life, which is good.

That sounds like it needs a sequel. Do you guys know if they plan on making a third game?

Ah, crap. I didn't know you could find (and cure!!) the leviathan. Guess I gotta go do that.

I couldn't figure out how to get to Alan, it didn't even occur to me to try the twisty bridges. I kept trying to go the other way. It wasn't until I'd run out of every other possible story lead and explored every other biome that I finally went and looked it up and was like "Oh." So yeah about 20 hours in.

It really bothers me that Robin just abandoned Potato...like .. couldn't you go get the poor kitty? He had mechanic prosthetic limbs already, why would you just abandon him???!! # JusficeforPotato

fuckin crap ending to the game

"suddenly Robin receives a SOS. . .this quickly turns out to be AL-AN". I didn't discover AL-AN until at least 20 hours into the game. I had no waypoint to find it. I found it by accident while exploring.

Her leaving the ship looks like leaving satellites in No Mans Sky.

I am legit sad I didn't learn all of this organically by simply playing the finished version of the game in the first place. Damn, I missed a golden opportunity for great surprises here.

Sam's death is a mystery to me
Why she took of her necklace? And why she decided to blow up the cave wile she was in there herself! And the explosion even didn't damage anything ! Creature was intact and she managed to fall down from ladder and die! It seems Altera killed her in that cave and made it like was her own doing ,and they took of her necklace before!!! For some reason

Maybe she committed suicide !

Dont get me wrong I love below zero but it dosent have the same feeling as the first game like the same "scare" or "spark", for example going towards the Aurora and having that dreadful feeling that the reaper is right behind you. You dont get that kind of feeling in below zero(besides the shadow Leviathan)still a great game though I cant wait for the 3rd game(if there is one)
