Love this!!! Thank you so much for sharing 💗 I definitely have goals to read more regularly. I have gotten away from reading this summer and I miss it. Definitely getting back into it now ☺️

Would also love to know how you are able to keep up with your home when you are feeling good. Plus how your family contributes to helping out too. It’s been hard trying to juggle all the things with our home week to week. Thanks 🤗

For people with a lot of kids, if they keep their curriculum the same throughout the years (plan out all 12 years ahead of time), they really only have to stay ahead of their eldest child. My eldest is 11 and I am doing fine staying ahead of him, even sometimes reading right now what his high school books will hopefully be someday.

We do 1 hour a day for the preteen/teen before they can touch an electronic. 5 pages or 1 chapter a day for the youngest. I need to start it for myself but I'm reading along with my 2nd grader

I don't read my kids' books - They are in 8th and 10th grades, and I expect they can learn on their own at this age. I won't be there to read ahead of them in college... my objective is to raise independent learners so by 11/12 grades, they are independently learning and know how to manage their time and projects. I hold them accountable with things like review questions or literature guides. I need some downtime to keep my sanity. With harder subjects like math and science, I choose an online program for them. With English, I often work alongside them... With history, it's so independent at this age. I'm always available to them, but I'm just not reading all their curriculum.

I need to cut some stuff out of my schedule to make this work. I'm not keeping up as it is.

Thank you so much for this!!! I was so overwhelmed last night as I tried to figure out how I was going to read all the material and books. I want to be much more prepared this year! 😊

One tip to save time is to speed up audio on things like YT videos. If someone speaks slow enough you can double the speed and still understand them, while cutting your listening time in half.

I love this!! Thinking about the books my highschooler is reading this year and how I'm going to keep up with him while also keeping up with our other four kiddos gives me slight anxiety! But... when you say "10 pages a day amounts to 300 in 30 days" it really puts it into perspective. 10 pages... that's all! That's very manageable.
