ОтветитьThanks, I'm going to have a go at installing Linux or something similar on my Asus E203NA, on which the original OS (Windows 10) takes up so much of the hard drive, that it's unable to update.
ОтветитьI keep looking up all these videos for installing Linux on my old Toshiba Satellite...and I'm beginning to realize that most people think 5-7 years is "old." I don't consider an old unless it came with Windows XP (at least) on it.
ОтветитьWebcam working?
Ответитьxfce desktop is good for older system since is less resource intensive
ОтветитьGreat video. And also, I think I'm going to start using the term "Bob's your Uncle". Thank you for the video and new phrase.
ОтветитьDude.... Linux isn't based on Android. You have that back to front. Android is basically a Linux distribution....so is MacOS

ОтветитьSelam brother, great video. I need help my laptop is stuck in constant BIOS. How it came to this was I made a bootable all in one USB using Easy2Boot and added the necessary iso images such as win 10 and linux 20 mint. Also I included a folder with utilities such as winrepair ,tweaking, etc. So my aim was not to make a dualboot on same ssd drive where my win10 os was but to install linux mint on separate 1TB HDD in laptop. So after configuring the usb i also tested it in the emulator that comes with easy2boot and it worked fine. So after checking more tutorials on how to proceed and install via usb boot I backed up win 10 and the rest of my files to WDCloud that I have just in case. So I inserted the usb restarted pc and kept pressing F9 to get the boot manager but then a blue screen happened error win.load 0x0000c as i remember. I couldnt restore or auto fix resolve because it wants me to use open windows 8.1 which i dont have and dont want to have. So i checked on phone for solution saying turn off pc again and go to BIOS and hit enter on the USB device plugged so it will boot and you can install win10 again. So i did that but at the screen asking me to choose a partition to install win10 I couldn't choose any because of GTP or GPT problem so I panicked and turned off pc and now i am stuck in BIOS not detecting any bootable device. I also reset CMOS almost broke it but still no change in BIOS , the time is correct nothing changed. I really need to fix this till Monday or ill lose my job.
Ответитьbrother why you rushing, who's chasing you ....good tutorial but had to slow it down x2

ОтветитьI have a windows 7 professional work laptop, it’s a dell latitude d620. Can I have the installation similar to this having it bypass the administrator and password? Thank you for this video. It is a blessing.
ОтветитьSir when I download ubuntu when I clicked installed it's showing you need 8 gb but there is only 7.5 gb disk

Good video and exactly how I did the install. My problem is as soon as I get the drivers via Driver manager for wifi card the laptop no longer boots.
It just hangs on the boot screen Linuxmint logo. Tried 3 installs with older versions and its the same. Any ideas?
Today I installed Linux Mint in an old netbook. I had some issues, the desktop won't start, just showing a black screen. The solution: I'd installed the netbook's HD in my PC and installed Mint. When I put the HD in the netbook, all works fine.
Ответитьhey i know im late but im switch from windows 10 and the bios is different and i don't know how to switch
ОтветитьDude you didn't had any issue at all, the same steps for installation on newer pc.... let's take for example my old laptop. i can't even enter the normal "Start linux mint", and i have to boot it with "start in compatibility mode", after the installation im trying to boot the mint and all i see is my cursor and a black screen.
Ответитьyou should try pearl os is amazin
ОтветитьGood video. I'm debating whether to install Linux or Chrome OS on an old celeron laptop.
ОтветитьHow long does it take to boot? Mine seems stuck :(
ОтветитьIs supported 64 bit???
ОтветитьWhen I boot into mint, it only works by choosing "compatibility" mode, the installer isn't giving me the same options as yours, and It says I don't have enough room for the install (I think mint is only seeing my usb, and not the actual hard drive).
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Nice tutorial Ash, very informative.👍👍
