This is exactly why I avoid all browns. Too pingy regardless of maker. Use blues. Browns are meant to mimic really old keyboards.
Ответитьi actually bought a new redragon keyboard which Outemu browns and they dont have that horrible spring ping, i barely put a thin layer of lube on them and any ping has gone. i reccomend at least lubing outemus because they will preform way better than them not being lubed.
ОтветитьDude, the tone is different but both have the same "ping" sound. It's just you.
ОтветитьAnother way to get rid of the sound is to fill the spring compartment with Vaseline. Meaning overgreasing them. No sound can be produced by the spring if it is engulfed entirely with grease or Vaseline. Think of clicky switches as guitars. They have an sound body and a string (spring in your case). The keyboards hollow inner room acts as the guitars echo chamber as well. Sound dampening material is a solution if it does not hinder the switch mechanics and electronics.
ОтветитьThe Cherry's have an plastic sleeve type movable plunger who makes the click sound. The other brands have all an built in spring which is hit by an plastic tab of the stem in order to be make a sound. Like a guitar string. Little construction nuances make therefore a difference with the guitar key sound system. Just go for linear switches for example from Kailh where the guitar spring is missing in order to avoid these differences. If you have an hot swappable keyboard like my EVGA Z15 then you may try taking out the spring which makes for the sound and tactile feel from each switch turning them into linear.
ОтветитьI think what you mean by gateron push back is,it feels closer to linear compared to other 2,and i think most people would prefer that over cherry or outemu.
Ответитьthankyou so much i´ve been wachinng revies for a month and no i know what i want thanks to you great video
ОтветитьWhat is the actuation force of the outemu browns
ОтветитьI don't mind the sound, but I want the feel. So I'm glad I got an otemou instead of a Gateron. If I'm getting an expensive one, I'll just get Razer's optical switches.
ОтветитьGet kalih switches, They will DESTROY all of the keyboards in this video
ОтветитьNone of the knockoffs even come close to Cherry in my experience. Excellent review. Thanks.
ОтветитьAfter 8 years on a Razer keyboard with Cherry MX blue switches -- it was fine -- I've switched to a new sub-$50 keyboard with Outemu brown because I wanted the quieter typing experience and didn't want to pay more than $50 for the entire keyboard. In addition to what the keyboard case is made out of and how it is shaped (along with key caps used), what your desk is made out of, what you have between your desk and the keyboard (if anything), typing style can also influence how a switch sounds. If you have an efficient typing style with minimal movement, used by most (but not all) fast typists, switches don't make as much noise on the press or release.
ОтветитьWhat was the name of your original keyboard?
ОтветитьWhy cant i watch this video without it stopping to load every 10 seconds
ОтветитьJust returned my Outemu board because of the annoying pinging noise you showed. Drove me crazy after 1 day of use.
ОтветитьI'm looking for a Keyboard for typing only with brown switches but I still haven't decided between Outemu and Gateron, all reviews I have researched only mention the same things
ОтветитьAnd great video by the way
ОтветитьHey dude if you didnt know that on the otemu swiches there is spring ping and you can fix that if you buy krytox lube google what lube to by for tactile swichas and tuen you google how to lube swiches and it should be smother and less spring ping so better over all i think
ОтветитьNot sure if they maybe improved their production, but i can‘t hear this on my outemus (i got them last week)
