Competitive player speaking, the reason Teddybuggy is preferred over Cat Cruiser is not only because of the ATV drifting style, but also the hitbox. The Cat Cruiser has a larger hitbox which can make dodging items more difficult. As for the invincibility, that stat is honestly pretty pointless. It only matters In extremely specific situations and it's only .5 advantage with the Cat Cruiser. Yoshi Scooty has the lowest invincibility in the game, yet people still use it.

I am more of an inward bike user. I know not many enjoy that, but I play comet with red roller wheels, animal crossing glider, and Pauline. Full on red and she hasn’t let me down ❤ though I do enjoy hearing about the hidden stats aspect of Mario kart even though I am not full meta. Great video 🥰

Even when people used Teddy Buggy, I was always more of a Cat Cruiser player.
Not just for the invincibility, but also because I personally think it looks better.
