Apple pretty much owns the smartwatch and tablet market. It’s crazy. The only category that they have legitimate competition is smartphones and personal computers from Google and Microsoft. Though they still have a large smartphone marketshare in the United States.

are you kidding? gear s3 came out 3 years earlier less $$, stainless steel case, always on display, etc...fan boys are a dime a dozen

A perhaps silly question but here it goes: is it necessary to own an IPhone to own and operate this watch?

I have had a series 5 since the year it came out. I love using this watch for workouts, texting, monitoring my health and staying on track in my work.

Caveat emptor, the only thing I learned in law class, means let the buyer beware! Apple doesn’t inform you that the nickel content in their aluminum may cause skin irritation, as it did with me, after spending $700 on a watch! Further, apple decided not to help me in any way. They told me to buy a case to protect my skin from the Apple Watch case. Thanks for caring (about your profit margin). Minus 5 stars for apple!

I am getting a Apple Watch series 5 because that’s all I can afford. I got it brand new on eBay. But I wish wish I was getting the series 6 Apple Watch

Regards to our watches the are totally out of order ! and we did spend €1000 for both watches, now we can only frame them as souvenirs as apple throws software updates and they are frozen after 3, 4 years. Thank you apple for waisting our €1000 much obliged we r.

Do all apple watch series 5 models have lte capability?

I would like to buy apple products, because they are great!
But what's the problem with apple, because you can not make very much personal settings and do as you want with apple products because they are always locked in one way or another!
Last week my good friend got tired and sold all her apple products only because you can not customize apple products as you want.
She is not the first person I have heard get tired of this problem and switched to samsung etc.
Should apple become more flexible with this, I would immediately start buying their products again without hesitation ..
And I can promise that apple would get a lot more customers and earn a lot more from being more flexible with this ?

My answer is, I am tempted to get one but I can still get my phone out and use it just as quick. The battery lasts longer, I can attach it to a support battery and it just seems more practical. So I may try one and find it great so time will tell.

Nice video,... trying to decide between a new Series 5 or SE for my son. Last year's flagship vs this year's econo offering. The SE is 40 bucks cheaper,... only reason why I'm scratching my head over this decision. Would love to hear your thoughts.

As an iphone 11 pro max and apple watch series 3 user, I agreed that the features provided in series 5 is cool. However, in daily basis it is still useless for me personally. For instance, why i need a compass if i can simply use the map? Also even without this watch I can hear when my surroundings is noisy. What’s the point?

Moreover, price wise, should I pay more for cool yet useless features? I personally do not think so.

Thus, as a reputable reviewer, I wish the verge could provide a content that more objective. Unless you want to give an impression that your content is more into advertisement rather than objective product review. 🤦
