Probably my favorite PMV ever. You did such a good job taking a character that was often out of the spotlight and depicting his story in such a compelling way that I could totally believe he's the main character. All the subtle points like where he runs with swiftpaw away from the dogs just make such a good emotional narrative. Longtail has always been one of my favorites and this only makes him moreso.

Long tail deserved a lot of things that happened to him but either way he didn’t deserve a lot of things that happened to him his app died he died Al sorts of things but this animation was amazing it has detail and the way you animated it is gorgeous

THE DETAILS OMG

This is beautiful! Longtail really deserved a better life, he got betrayed by his mentor and best friend, his first apprentice he worked so hard on died by his betrayed “friend”, rejected by fire star when he warns him about tigerstar 1, blinded by a RABBIT, killed by a tree to just fight the cats in the dark forest. A background character with so much detail and heartbreaking events in his life. He’s definitely one of my favourite characters!

First time reading the books I didn't give a second thought to Longtail. Now I think he's one of the most dynamic and complex characters in the entire series. Just everything this cat goes through...in the shadow Firestar no less. And he was loyal to Thunderclan all the way through even when it didn't love him back.

Hey just want to let you know, people are using your art on TikTok some without credit.

This made me tear up when he found his dead apprentice, ran with Swiftpaw's ghost, and when Mousefur died. I truly love this pmv, you always know it's good when you almost cry.

Longtail’s story has always been really interesting to me. He starts off the series as an antagonist, but he learns his lesson and ends his life a good cat. I feel like Longtail should’ve been given the deputy position after Whitestorm died. It would’ve been such a good conclusion to his arch considering he and Firestar clashed in the beginning, then Firestar learned to trust Longtail and Longtail learned not to discriminate against Firestar, so Firestar making him deputy would’ve so perfectly finished it off. Also the idea of a deputy becoming disabled so that you know they can never be leader is interesting. I think in that situation Firestar would want to spare his feelings and when he leaves with Sandstorm Longtail is still technically deputy. But in the end bit of the book where Sandstorm has kits, they tag on an extra scene with Longtail where he abdicates the deputy position and recommends Graystripe to Firestar because he’s the one that’s been taking care of the clan and Longtail has been paying attention to that. This would also confirm that going to the elders den early was Longtail’s choice, I feel like that was already the case but it was never confirmed and it’s the much better idea than it being some sort of forced thing.
