দুঃস্বপ্ন দেখেছো?
টেনশন করছো কিছু নিয়ে?

সে চায়, মানুষটা বুঝুক
কখন শক্ত করে বুকের সাথে চেপে ধরতে হয়
চোখের সামনে আলতো করে হাত ছুঁইয়ে
বন্ধ করে দিতে হয় চোখের পাতা

সে চায়, মানুষটা বুঝুক
কখন হাতের উপর হাত রাখতে হয়
ফিসফিসিয়ে বলতে হয়,
আমি তো আছি;
তবে, মনখারাপ কেন?

সে চায়, মাঝরাত্রিতে সে টের পাক
পাশের মানুষটা তার মাথার নীচে
সরে যাওয়া বালিশটা ঠিক করে দিচ্ছে
শেষ রাতে যখন খানিকটা হিম নামে
তখন জড়িয়ে দিচ্ছে ঘুম চাদরে

সে চায়, তার জন্যেও কেউ
মাঝরাত্রিতে বাড়ি ফেরার অপেক্ষায় থাকুক
মনে রাখুক তার জন্মদিনের কথা
প্রথম দিনের কথা
স্পর্শ অনুভূতির কথা

সে চায়, তাকে ছুঁয়ে দেখতে গিয়ে
কেউ মিথ্যে মিথ্যে অজুহাত বানাক
কেউ কপাল ছুঁয়ে বলুক,
দেখি দেখি তোমার জ্বর নয় তো?

অভিমানে দূরে সরে যেতে চাইতেই
কেউ বলুক, খানিক ভুল করেছি বলেই
দূরে সরে যেতে হবে?
তবে এই যে এত ভালোবাসি
তাতে আরও কাছে আসে যায়না?
আরও আরও কাছে
অনেক অনেক কাছে

মানুষ বড় অভিমানী প্রাণী
তারা দু'জনই কেবল ভাবে
এসবই ঐ মানুষটা করুক
ঐ অন্য মানুষটা
কিন্তু শেষমেশ করা হয়না কারোরই

তাই কাছে আসার রঙিন দিনেরা
ক্রমাগত দূরে যাওয়ার ধূসর বিবর্ণ গল্প হয়

মানুষ বড্ড অভিমানী প্রাণী
অভিমানে সে ক্রমশঃই দূরে চলে যায়
আর বুকে পুষে রাখে এক সমুদ্র আক্ষেপ
