How to update Nvidia GPU drivers

i did the same thing but all i’m getting is a black screen, i’ve tried resting my gpu, what do i do?

it says i have the latest drivers but yours is newer than mine and it doesnt show it to me? is this a stupid question or is something wrong. i dont know anything about pcs sorry if this sounds dumb.
