This was originally a Tamil Movie (Ratchesi Jeya Prada starring Rembha) and Hindi (Daayan Jaya Prada starring none other than Jaya Bachan appropriately in the leading devil role). Ultimately it got made in Hollywood!

I actually hate (could care less about) "fashion", but i LOVE this movie!! Ita jus soooo Damn good!!!! And meryl streep was sooooo BOMB!!!!

Meryl just always wins my heart. Loved everyone's work in this film. Nothing like it!

Aaah another movie enabling abusive beviour, ableism and snobbery calling all that leadership, commitment and refinement. Just wonderful. I read the book before seeing the movie and was hugely dissapointed that they dismissed a lot of Andy's experience including dangerous chronic fatigue (working from 7am to 9 pm) and only kept the clumsiness and strings of bad luck. Oh well. This is how every generation is brainwa... I mean formed after all, with moviezzz and popular culture intended to override genuine values. Elegance of character cannot be replaced by nice clothes and mannerisms.

Hold up! She has an argument with her boyfriend, goes and sleeps with some other guy then gets back with her boyfriend and doesn’t tell him? Isn’t this behaviour what Ross off Friends was crucified for? Never allowed to be forgiven or forgotten? Yet she can get away with this because she’s female? The double standards are disgusting!

However, it does not seem likely that a film version of it, or any sequel, will be made, as two of the film's stars are not eager to do so. Streep has reportedly said that she is not interested in making a sequel for this film in particular. And while Hathaway admits she'd be interested in working with the same people, it would have to be "something totally different". The Devil Wears Prada, she told Variety "might have just hit the right note. It's good to leave it as it is."

Eight years later, Frankel said that while the studio did not ask them to consider a sequel, a meeting was held to discuss possible ideas. As they felt the movie's story had been told, and there were no good ideas, the idea was dropped. Weisberger said it was "[not] out of the realm of possibility" and discussions have been held since then, but McKenna notes that the technology involved in producing print magazines has changed considerably since 2006, such that it would no longer be necessary for an assistant in Andrea's position to bring a physical copy of the magazine in progress to the editor's residence. "It had its moment!" the screenwriter said.

I hate her boyfriend and I hated Andy when she went to him in the end. He didn't want her to progress and was a hindrance throughout.

The trailer tells too much, but once you watch the movie, watching this helps cement it all full circle and tells perfectly the moral of the story

God, I love this movie! The casting was sublime (obviously). It's SO funny! And it's really a nicely touching film, too. It's a really winner, all the way around.

I can only say that the film is very worthy. I like everything about him. The actors' acting, the plot itself, and its presentation are all worthy of praise.

I need to watch this movie again, I really enjoyed it
