Where can I find that cushioned sock?
ОтветитьI have a short boot and a taller boot with the pump already installed and as much as I wanted to wear the short one the long one feels so much more comfier. I broke my 5th metatarsal like kinda in the middle and the docters said I can wear either or but for some reason the longer one is better
ОтветитьI just broke my foot 10 days before vacation 🤦🏻♀️
ОтветитьThank you! This video made me laugh and also provided some great points! I didn't think about an insert! I fell from 25 feet and broke/fractured both ankles amongst multiple other injuries. Fortunately, the right wasn't as bad as the left. I had an ORIF performed to secure the calcaneus and talus, but my navicular bone is still angry at me so I'll have to go in for more repairing. I bought a short boot at first and wore that until my surgeon recommended the tall. Since I've swapped, my ankle feels much more stable and the air pocket is fabulous for sustaining the position of my leg and foot. Although some say it seems terrifying to wear a compression sock, it's been quite helpful and comfy since the increase in swelling after my pin removal. What a huge difference! Not only with the swelling, but also with the inside of the boot getting funky. Yuck. My knee scooter has been great but I'm wondering if I should wear the boot with the iWalk?! Balancing on it makes me really nervous! Thank you again for sharing your knowledge! Here's to another surgery or two....... and then RECOVERING! :)
ОтветитьThanks its not so scary now after a broken ankle
ОтветитьI will be scared to move my leg like that
ОтветитьLooking for tips on comfortably wearing my boot with neuropathy pain on the top of my foot and along the bend up to the ankle. On week 3 after trimalleolar fracture.
Ответитьrename this video to go with the tall boot
ОтветитьNot 1 but 2 socks on a broken leg. I don't know if these doctors have ever broken a limb. Even moving the velcro straps hurt. Wearing this heavy a$$ boot is a nightmare.
ОтветитьAnyone else out there with this problem? I was in a bike accident 1.5 weeks ago, and I have a distal fracture on my big toe, but the accident also ripped off my entire toe nail. Wearing the air cast hurts so very much. Not sure how my doctor can expect me to have that much pressure/weight on an exposed nail bed! 😢
ОтветитьTHESES GUYS ARE GOLD!!! LISTEN TO THEM! My surgeon knew nothing about correct brace, or correct exercises to decrease pain,
these doctors are GOLD!!! I work in health care. I know ! BLESS THEM!!!
Two years trimalleolar freacture. THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST!!! Helped with cast, support inside cast..ect. THEY ARE GOLD!!!
ОтветитьHas anyone had a Deltoid sprain in ankle?
ОтветитьWas looking forward to estimated timeframes of wearing it e.g. how many weeks/months?
Ответить"I think I just broke the boot" 😅 lol
ОтветитьYou do such a wonderful job on these videos! So much great information!
ОтветитьGoing back into the boot because of my own carelessness BUT!!!! would NEVER GET THIS BOOT!
ОтветитьThis was very helpful. I just got the tall boot from my Ortho clinic yesterday for a 5th metatarsal base fracture. I’ve only taken it off to sleep but when I put it on again it doesn’t feel as comfortable as it did when the doc’s staff did it. I need to follow your instructions closely again.
ОтветитьOk, you won’t be able to wear a sock… trust me! I did fold a bath cloth under my toes and keep it switched out. 4 weeks after surgery I was able to cover my toes with a sock and fold it over. Still cant fit my socks over my ankles and have to take it off my tows after my foot sweats during the day.
Ответитьwhat do I do if my aircast is making my foot swell, my heel is always moving no matter how much I tighten and put air in it, my heel kills and foot burns. 5th metatarsal break please help.
ОтветитьThank you for your video
ОтветитьGrateful you are here today!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьNo way I can put compression shocks in my painful broken foot:(( Thank you for video!
ОтветитьIf your calf is too big for the tall boot, you can put a tall pot of water on the stove on low. Heat the water to between 150 and 190 Fahrenheit. (Use a meat thermometer) Take the liner out and the top strap off. Immerse the boot upside down into the pot for about a minute. Take it out and stretch it with your hands. I measured mine across before I immersed it and then afterwards. I just needed about a half an inch more. Fits great now.
You do not need the water any higher. You can just hold the boot in the water but it didn’t hurt mine to set it in there on my electric stove. My stove was at about 1.8 of 10 heat setting. Good luck
I have a torn tendon, right mid calf for 3 weeks now. Just got my airboat. I'm in alot of pain & the boot is just causing me more pain. I don't know what to do!
ОтветитьYou didn't say one eord sbout how long yo wear the boot.
ОтветитьI'm suffering from posterior tibialis dysfunction... Is it okay wear this ... Its paining
ОтветитьChuckled at hangnail. Lol’d at the broken boot explosion! Good stuff sir!
I sprained my ankle 4 weeks ago and drive for a living 6-9 hrs a day. This has been so tough. I use the iWalk 2.0 (sweatin’ in July!) and just rough it while driving. I ice it some at night. And catch myself bending/flexing my ankle a lot. Will I ever heal going like this? Thanks!
I broke it jumping out of a fake taxi at 40mph when realising it wasn't a real cab and him trying to central lock all the doors and increasing his speed round 40mph ! scary painful stuff!
ОтветитьThanks Doc!
ОтветитьHow can anyone put a compression sock on a broken foot? For the first three weeks I couldn't even touch it, and getting in and out of boot was hell enough. And putting on two socks and an added insole would just fry my foot. I already can't handle wearing this thing 24 hours a day and with a light sock , it's still sweating like mad. Not sure about thsi info. but good try
ОтветитьGreat video and I learned a lot! Thanks VERY much 👌
ОтветитьI have a fracture on my left foot just below the 5th metatarsal. Is it ok to walk with the boot without a cane? Thank you
ОтветитьAnyone else’s heel slipping around in the boot?
ОтветитьRidiculous how can you put on a sock like that with a broken ankle/foot? Lost me right there
Ответитьi walked on my broken foot for ten days before realizing it was broken. i walked in a parade and did manual labor for all ten of those days
ОтветитьHi I have fracture in my pinky toe which is best for me
ОтветитьMine keeps making a Velcro sound as I walk
ОтветитьThe compression sock 😢 nah,
ОтветитьThe physician assistant said I could drive with my aircast - it's my left foot in the aircast. Does that make a difference?
ОтветитьIs it common for my ankle to hurt when I'm walking in a boot?
Ответитьi have a short boot and im worried that it is too small now that ive been wearing it for a day or two. i was in between sizes and thought that the small boot fit well because it immediately helped my foot but now i dont think that its fitting well. ive been a lot of pain and went to two different doctors (one said metatarsal fracture the other said sesamoid fracture) and i trust the second one more. the second doctor but a little insert into the boot to take pressure away from where it hurts but now everytime i wear the boot it feels like my toe/part right under is beings pushed a bit against rhe boot and its kept me from being able to sleep. so, should i get a medium boot instead?
Ответитьcan you ride a bike wearing that boot?
ОтветитьAm I able to start walking without crutches after I get it on or should I wait a little
(Edit) i fractured tibia and fibia 😊
My first week in the short air cast boot after plantar fasciitis surgery, 3 inches of fascia was removed, with 7 stitches. The doctor said it was so tight. It wouldn’t heal after suffering over a year. I didn’t know the air cast pumps up using the circular pumps on the side until I was in the store and someone told me, I was wearing it all wrong smh.
ОтветитьThanks so much i have a big boot and crutches becuase i fell out of my step in shower and broke the tibia and needed this viedo! have to have it on for a couple months and im very upset becuase after i was done they didnt do surgery but still have alot of pain in my leg and the thearpy they wont do any help its dumb so thanks. i made it through to the boot and still have it on.
ОтветитьThank you sir and GOD bless you
ОтветитьLooking at different videos to get answers to the following questions (have left ankle fracture on left foot and have a short boot):
1) Am I supposed to wear it at night while I sleep or take it off or is it a decision my doctor and I are supposed to make?
2) Am I supposed to avoid taking showers so it is left on?
3) It is designed for walking in, but can I do outdoor tasks in it like cut the grass and other yardwork?
4) Still some confusion as to whether I was supposed to get the tall boot or short boot - different people/professionals say different things. Any comment on this?
Can I wear one of these ? I'm having an achilles tendon rupture. The cast is way too disturbing. I had the rupture 3 days ago. No pain, no swelling.
