If your a freelancer or work at a smaller company, I would instead recommend Davinci Resolve 15 that includes Fusion, a compositor that's actually free, even for paid work. And agree with @fivebythree - Blender is in most cases a better free option than Modo. Modo is rarely used in an agency pipeline, other than for modeling. Modeling that could be done just as well or better in Blender...
