7 Ways To Fall In Love With Your Planner

Girl! I know you get this a lot, but I also personally know how much it means to me to hear from people who I've positively impacted— so here I am. Your time-blocking methods and planning advice have literally changed everything for me. Someone in a FB group mentioned your name a few months ago and it was a game-changer! I'm a writer and editor, and have struggled with the tell-tale creative mind my entire life. Somehow, I'm also a Type-A list maker, but I was CONSTANTLY overwhelmed by all my lists, all my need-to-do's, and still having a creative brain wanting to do it all and pursue my dreams. I'm a wife and mom of 2, and I just was treading water my entire adult life. (I was floored when I found out we were the same age btw—life goals.) The second I heard your methods, a bell went off in my head. HOW SIMPLE! It was literally the easiest thing to trade my to-do lists for blocks and now I can't go back. For the first time in my life, I feel like I'm gaining control of my world and actually being productive instead of just busy. I have more peace, more joy, and tons more confidence! I'm still a newbie and I'm just starting in my new career, but I'm so much more confident to live out my mantra and "Keep Moving Forward." I’d like to see this planner with a more natural day sequence—like the weekend days together at the end of the week.
Monday is the first day of the week, to me, not Sunday. Looking at these pages is a bit disorienting.
I guess that’s why I still BuJo.

I don't use little white out I have huge boo-boos so I use the label sheets for mine😅😅😅😅

The ONLY problem I have with planners is actually WRITING SOMETHING IN IT - anyone else suffer from this malady? The planner pages feel so smooth to the touch, are so beautifully set out, the text of each month/day/headings so stylish that I feel like I'm trespassing by writing in it - and I can't get over this hurdle. It's like a mental block. I own planners that I bought (and paid massive Customs fees) since 2018 and each of them is STILL BLANK. HELP!!!!!!

I just subscribed, I have been a planner user of sorts for many many years… nearly 50 years.. I am now retired and need more ideas that they become great and not JUST functional…. I love your ideas on functional planning. This video said it all about problems with giving up on planning. I get distracted with too many details on one spread as if I was writing down my biography. But when I disect each spread like the monthly, weekly, and daily, I make sure those correspond to my purpose. What was demonstrated is my planning process that I am trying to improve on. Love the idea of drawing horizontal lines to split up each day! Right now what I write there is kind of a haphazard mess, and I think this might help. 😅 Although I have started labeling each day at the top with a theme to guide me in the thing(s) I do that day to help me task batch. (Errand day, cleaning day, creative work day, analytical work day, etc) Weekends often have more than one theme that may fit throughout the day, but during the week it helps me know my focus and set reasonable expectations for myself each evening.
