Don’t think it’s fair to call him a mere genius
He also worked hard
My problem with jacob collier is the same everytime. Im incredibely impressed by his skill, but also underwhelmed by how ineffectively he uses it.
Ответитьdimished chords. melody is somehow in shadow
Ответитьevery second feels like christmas❄❄
ОтветитьGeorge Collier , you my friend are a genius !
ОтветитьVocê também é um gênio musical por transcrever essa canção! ☺
Ответитьfuaaaa
ОтветитьNo tiene forma, es simplemente una configuración casi aleatoria de estructuras musicales. Cualquiera que conozca estructuras musicales puede replicar este trabajo. Un simple vende humos improvisando y siendo endiosado.
Ответить"undecided left hand" * hahahaha!
ОтветитьMy brain: Processing the notes (two years land two days left)
ОтветитьThanks a lot for all the work, great transcriptions!
ОтветитьThis is how I want to play one day.
ОтветитьIf only he played that on a grand
ОтветитьHow good do you have to be to dress like trash
ОтветитьI couldnt assign a genre to this if I wanted to
ОтветитьI love the way you transcribed “undecided left hand”😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьOh, George is someone making money off of a same last name. Gotta love it. You go George! LOL
ОтветитьWho's George? And why hasn't Jacob left his mom's basement? I'm guessing nobody told him he can take his toy box! Lol
Ответитьwhen "genius" sounds mid af.
Ответитьtotally amazing
ОтветитьI'm stuck between saying, "I can do that" or "I have done in my past" and "I don't know how the hell he made those connections" or "welp time for me to quit"😁😆🥲😢😭😓
Ответитьexcellent work brother. Wish it were on an acoustic tho... bit too synthy for my taste.
Ответить"tell me you're a musical genius without telling me you're a musical genius" .... well, he's improvising and we don't know if there are mistakes in here or not. Even mistakes that "work" are just happy accidents. I like the sound, it all sounds very pleasing and I'm not a fan of jazz. Perhaps I like "cool jazz" (if it's still called that) the most. Nice and relaxed jazz.
I'd love to see Jacob play a great classical piece by Rachmaninoff or Liszt... even Beethoven. That would show true genius.
Heck, I might even record some jazz on my keyboard and upload it just to see what people think. It would be interesting to get some thoughts from great musicians!
Watch his minimalistic hand movements. Nothing dramatic. Just perfection.
ОтветитьWith most artists I try to digest their music. Latch onto interesting ideas (Chord progressions, riffs, licks, production choices, orchestration, etc.) But with Jacob I've learned that the best way to experience his music (for me) is to sit back and feel it. Just surrender to the musical journey he's about to take you on and enjoy it.
ОтветитьI like to think that how we sometimes transcribe words into pitch Jacob just does that automatically and then has to figure out what they said rather than what notes would work in harmony with the sentence you just said.
ОтветитьThis guy is not a normal human. superhuman
ОтветитьStealing that key change and never giving it back
ОтветитьNy first experience with keyscape was the same. Maybe minus the amazing playing, but it's such a wonderful inspiring virtual instrument
ОтветитьIs this all improvised???
Ответить(I haven’t heard much of Jacob) At first I was like he’s alright just playing good chords, then my jaw dropped when he started playing those runs
ОтветитьThe gap between my musical understanding and Jacobs is so big that I can't seem to really "understand" what he is doing. Not in the sense of what chords he is playing but more in the sense of not "liking" it. He is so far beyond me that most of the choices he makes just sound weird to me.
I'm probably alone in this but I wanted to get my thoughts out.
He’s not a musical genius. There easy
ОтветитьНу так и я смогу. А вот мурку он сможет сыграть?
Ответитьquel escroc
ОтветитьWtf is this
ОтветитьDude is a musical genius, and seems like a wonderful human…but can’t seem to compose music that isn’t self-indulgent theory exercises.
ОтветитьHow to be a genius:
Step one, wear a huge vneck unevenly
Bro that A to D got me.
ОтветитьI guess I missed the genius part
ОтветитьGorgeousss🎉
ОтветитьLoving "Undecided Left Hand" & the honesty of your music in general. Thanks.
Ответитьmust have been hell to transcribe god damn...
ОтветитьThis is just shit,, clever clever shit.. I can’t hear the music for the self indulgence..
ОтветитьI’m sorry, I’m not trying to be a dick, but I think this is somewhat overhyped. I get that Jacob wants to “make any note work” but some of these chords genuinely sounded terrible even within context.
ОтветитьVery lovely
