I'm overwhelmed by the number of frameworks and libraries. I feel like I'm endlessly learning a new library with its own hundreds of functions. Really exhausting. :(

Thanks great information, but React Is a Library, Not a Framework

Friend: You know HTML?
Me: Yes? I've been writing HTML since I was 16.
Friend: And you're learning C# instead of Javascript?!
Basically I found out I'm halfway to nailing a front end/full stack job from my old, dumb teen hobby lol. Thank you Tiff. These videos are so helpful! 💜 (I was trying to decide between React and Angular. Still going to learn C#, but I've already got JS basics so 😊)

I think it's important to try different frameworks to have arguments for taking the best decision of which javascript framework choose. Learning different frameworks will give you ideas about current existing design patterns and architectures.

At this point I prefer Angular, because its dependency injection system makes so simple and easy the state management. This accompanied with RXJS gives more power to create data persistency and component decoupling.

On the other hand it's important to learn React because will give good ideas to write better UI components, so in my case I have worked in deep with React and thanks to that, now I can build better Angular components with better encapsulation and reusability.

The weaker point of React is its state management system. React depends on Redux if you want to create loosely coupled components, and Redux is an over-enginered solution that complicates what is simple to do. And if you decide to work with sagas, the story becomes more painful. An alternative to Redux for React is Context BUT the problem with context is that the state is bind to a component or a group of components, so we can not use React Context for sibling components that are part of different contexts, so in a few words we can not apply a loosely coupled architecture.

I have worked with Vue but I didn't like it because of its components definitions are meshy. I don't like the idea of define props, methods, watchers on a big object. So Vue is on a limbo between OOP and functional programing.

To conclude, remember that something that can be learned fast doesn't mean that is the best solution. I recommend to try in deep the technologies you hear if you need to take decisions. On internet there is so much hype and this makes us lazy to take better decisions with arguments.
