Americans want all trade in their favour. They want to make the rules where they are able to obtain all the cheap natural resources they want and protect American businesses, and then sell finished products back to the countries where those natural resources came from at a huge profit. Just look where Canadian oil goes at a discount yet we buy gasoline at world prices because it is processed in the US. Canada should be selling lumber overseas and shut out the US till they realize they may be bigger but they are not the big dog.

Bryan, you are just plain ignorant regarding this. Having been a mill owner in NY I felt the unfair Canadian competition for logs. Canadian mills would come to the states to buy logs. Why ? Because of the then $75/ thousand board foot subsidy the Canadian mills received when buying on Crown land. This allowed them to come to the states and purchase more logs so that when the total number of board feet per year per Canadian mill was averaged out the Canadian mills still payed less per board foot for their logs.

Next you talk of jobs. How did you miss the people out of work at mills in America because of the unfair trade practices of Canada ? My mill is no longer in business because of the practices of the Canadian government.

Bryan you may talk sweet, but you do not talk truthful.

This video was a promo sponsored by MacLean's (Canada's Time magazine conglomerate!) and was on behalf of ALL Canadians! And I bet Bryan didn't get paid either! He did it for free.

Der Fuhrer Drumpf=Dumkopf! 2020 elections will get rid of that lunatic dirtbag! Only he is at fault for tearing up contracts and treaties that made the world a better place. He has a terrible business record and reputation and the tariff results are the proof. He needs to go before he starts WW3 --and may God strike him mute and incapacitated; & real soon!

"Public land" is stolen Indigenous land, and hence includes a hidden subsidy.

Mr Brian Baeumler lately show us his greed and opportunistic behavior. He and his wife lately are on so many channels with reruns and commercials. Where are the boundaries for them? As tv viewer I run away from them.

Good video, however you don't explain that Canada has been dumping lumber in the US at lower rates. This allows Canadian companies to control parts of the market. This is a big reason why they enforce tariffs.
