Awesome build. But tvs above fireplaces are a tech nerds worst thing ever. You shouldn't do it if you use an actual fire place or electrical fireplace that puts out heat.

A year late, but here I go. When you put the TV at that height in such a small room you are creating ergonomic problems. Designers always think of design over physical well being.

Nope...that TV is mounted WAY too high for comfortable viewing. The vertical centre of the screen should be lined up the viewers eyes. I'm getting a sore neck just looking at this set up.
