Is there any way to prevent the object from rotating while using the restrictions? I just want to control the spot of bending, what basically the restrictions look good for. But the object rotation makes it useless for me.

Well, I tried with a perfect rectangle, and it did work. However, when I followed the steps for a plane that I shaped, which had several loops, it was a total mess. 😰

OMG your the only tutorial that actually helped me! the rest barly told me what to do and even when i did it, it was weird, but this tutorial was straight forward and helped so much! Thanks! Now i can make the front of my dirt bike helmet wrap around the front :)

This is very strange functionality. Very stupid, not intuitive. In 3ds max, you just select the axis and degree of bending, and everything works as it should.

Great tutorial, clear, short, explains all but, how to save bend so that it doesen't disapear when object jooined to another mesh?

Took a bit but got it to work and after watching your how to animate video I made animation of a bending bar! Couldn't have done this without watching your tutorials.

that's all find and dandy, but now how do I move the object around another object to aline it up to the other object, its a wonky now.
