Okay, I just watched this video for the first time today, and when Richard said to reveal the card, I paused it and said quickly "three of diamonds" without thinking. Sure enough, the card chosen was the 3 of Diamonds. I have psychic powers apparently.

The ability to rapidly tune out background noise (for a rapidly changing value of "background noise") is what makes fighter pilots, mathematicians, and computer scientists good at their jobs. This goes all the way back to middle school. There's always a group of kids who can't do the word problems, because they fail to tune out the irrelevant descriptive words.

Andy lives in a red house next door to Betty who lives in a green house. Starting with $100 each, together they are able to afford to purchase a bicycle, the two bicycles totalling $200, but Andy had to borrow $5 from Betty to make this possible. How much more did Andy's bicycle cost than Betty's bicycle?

There's always a person in middle-school math class who never gets past the first sentence: "Andy lives in a red house next door to Betty who lives in a green house." That person will grow up to become an actor or actress, who spends a lot of time pondering Andy and Betty's shame core, and not so much time balancing their own household books. Andy grew up in a red house. That tells you a lot about Andy already. And pretty soon a fully fleshed out character is born. But don't put that in your spreadsheet which doesn't give a rat's behind about house colours.

Solution 1:

a + b = 200
a = 100 + 5
b = 100 - 5
a - b = 10

Solution 2:

Red is the colour of anger, roses, and blood. Green is the colour of money, female jealousy and food poisoning. Clearly Andy made it with Betty on prom night, but their romance was short lived, and the sex wasn't very good either, because of bad oysters, even though they cost a small fortune in coming-of-age MacDollars.

The main question is what was that gorilla doing there??🙄

Just for curiosity, I wonder if you had two cards with diamond 3 (one blue and one red) and you just turned the right one in the end or if you were able to remove the red one before because you knew which one to pick? Great video btw :D

I got suspicious when the camera was zoomed in at the cards so I noticed all 4 changes. However I was prepared for a trick when I started watching.

But why is there a gorilla?

Ingenious. Imagine something like this happening during a full-length movie.

At first, I was focused on the cards and I initially didn't realize all of the changes, but when the text said it wasn't about the color-changing cards, then I thought about the scene and realized the four changes.

Why is there a random gorilla in the background? xD
It isn't even just a suit, it is an actual person, because it is making small head movements here and there.

I Watched This Video At School Today.

So i noticed every change

I love that they have the gorilla sitting there in the reveal footage. I expect it is an acknowledgement of the earlier selective attention tests that include a gorilla walking through a group of people bouncing and passing basketballs.

I didn't notice sny changed but noticed the background color was the opposite color of the blue card. I was mainly following his facial expressions
