This was my first anime and holy shit I picked a good one

I always found it funny how Rudeus shoves his face against some girl's crotch and does some weird rapey thing and people are okay with it, but Subaru has a mental breakdown and acts incelly once and its a reason to drop the entire thing. People just want a constantly-OP protagonist, if Subaru had the things he does in recent chapters earlier on, I guarantee people wouldn't have dropped it. They detest weak MCs they cant see themselves in.

Am i the only one who hated it. Hated the Character designs, everyone's a loli and they're all in love with with mc. I think its not my thing

What’s good is that when he’s “evolving” he also takes the worst decisions possible which are pathetic at times, but then he comes back cuz he’s a human

Re:Zero does its characters slightly better than S;G in my opinion, but the plot writing in S;G is just some of the greatest in all anime
the concept of time travel and its effects is tackled much better too from my POV.

Idk man, I tried watching it because a friend recommended it to me- It was a HUGE PREDICTABLE BORE. God that was boring. Hell, season 2 was more boring that season 1.
So much talk-no-jutsu, so much repetition of the same dialogue or themes, LETS GET ON WITH THINGS PEOPLE. At least season 1 took place in more than one location, but most of season 2 had either the village or the mansion and... That's it.
At a certain point even the cliffhangers weren't getting me hooked, and skipping and skipping and skipping actually made it much more sufferable. It's so predictable at this point, that no matter how much I skipped I still understood and predicted all the 'twists'. (You could say it's good foreshadowing, but I think it's more of the excessive use of the low-hanging fruit of writing)

I really REALLY wanted to like it.

The only criticism I have of season 2 is that the story was difficult to understand properly. I had to watch it twice.

Oh buddy s3 will adapt arc 5 and arc 6. It's about to easily be the best season of re zero yet. Arc 6 is known as the best arc of re zero in the novel yet(currently starting arc 8) and arc 5 is a very action heavy arc.

In one year we’ll get season 3. It’ll be even more extravagant.

I kind of pieced together in my head that it made no sense to for Ram to still love Roswell, but she didn't understand because Rem didn't exist. Like I swear once Rem is back, Ram won't see him quite the same.

Late to comment on this, but Re Zero is like my top animated show of all time after season 2. Overlord comes close, but damn I love Re Zero so much.

Re zero is so boring of an anime but somehow charlie says it is an absolute banger and has no flaws, which is absolute the opposite of what the series is, then there is madoka magica who has 12 episodes and a movie and its an absolute masterpiece, its not slow, the plot is really well written, the characters are really well written and likeable, the animation is gorgeous, the voice acting is really good and yet i don't see charlie watching it and making a moist meter about it.

Re:Zero will have a maximum of 9 seasons and a minimum of 7. I believe White Fox can pull it off.

Don't turn your brain off while watching this tho. You'll miss important stuff.

Season 2 for me was definitely a big step down from season one but was still really good. Season one had climaaactic battles that were soo long like the 500ft long white whale or the witches cult with hundreds of members whereas season 2 is just fighting 2 assassin's and then a 4-5 minute fight against some rabbits. Plus over 2/3 of the runtime of season 2 is just flashbacks even some of the new side characters get whole flashback episodes, really good to see their backstory but it's weird to have this much backstory for the second season.
Would still give season 2 a very high rating but season one was definitely better

The only thing I don't like is we'll probs have to wait YEARS between each season and there's enough material to create at least 8 seasons already

The one thing that not any other anime did was to show subaru's family. I mean in every other anime when they get teleported to another world we don't see what happens in the real world. Yea sure here as well we don't see it but the regret that their family doesn't know what happened to their son and even subaru knowing that he can't see his parents again and he's ashamed of who he was in that world and not living a good life or making his parents proud and all that. He feels like he only took from them not give them anything. I think this did a fantastic job of emotionally connecting with the character. I'm not explaining well but it's something u have to watch and experience yourself

I'm not digging season 2 as much. Having that many different girls simp on you is redundant and forced. It's dumb. In regards to relationship it needs to focus on either emelia or rem. To have it constantly side tracked for no real reasons its just too unnatural and forced, and again it's redundant.

They need to stop making main characters like this, it's annoying. I wish they just focus on Subaru overcoming his psychological battles and gaining Intel to advance. I like that they always make the enemy extremely powerful, and always seem to put Subaru in a no win situation... but I think it's time for him to gain a new power beyond the respawns... and hey since all the Witches are in his favor maybe her will get something from each of them.

I can't wait for Charlie's reaction to Re:Zero's Arc 6 (if it gets animated) That arc is like a full course served by a 999 Michelin star restaurant (Arc 5 too is amazing, it's full of fight scene. Seriously.)

It would be cool if they animated all the If stories eventually.

I don't get the appeal. Why do people love this? It's slow, boring, and the artstyle makes me wanna puke. Also the characters are so annoying and all the emotions seems so unnatural as if they are trying to force me what to feel.
Mob psycho, now that's how you induce feelings into your story without forcing it.
Also for those into isekai watch Overlord rather than this garbage.
