Counterfeit CHIBSON Guitars... How can I get rid of them?

Epiphone headstocks are trash. Squire doesnt upcharge for a headstock upgrade and that’s why we love 😂.

Just carve an indicator in the back of it somewhere and you’re good. Make sure it’s deep enough that you can’t sand it out with the finish.

The legit reason to buy a cheap chinese knockoff, is because like me, you want to teach yourself luthier work and you don't want to ruin expensive guitars making rookie mistakes. Also perhaps you want to destroy an expensive guitar on film without the production expense of destroying a $3,000 or $6,000 guitar.

You can have custom fret inlays, make it 24 frets, get ebony fretboards, and everything made to your specifications. Try doing that with a real Gibson.

I get the impression that this destruction of the logo means that they are probably in terms of quality and tone side by side with real brands, and because of that they must be "marked"-injured, because as such they cast a shadow over his original relative.

I don't understand why someone would feel responsible for selling an instrument that he bought as such, he is not responsible for the logo that that instrument carries. I think that everyone already recognizes the original ones.

Can you explain how Gibson-Fender allowed these instruments to be made in China, with all those inscriptions, even stamped "made in USA", that means there is an agreement-approval between them.
The only problem I see is that if I were to buy it, and it comes to my country, how can I explain to the customs officer that it is not an original American instrument, he will strip me of the customs, because he will take into account the real price - American.
I think those guitars are OK, absolutely irrelevant that they are Chinese, especially Gibson LP models - Greeny LP, my favorite.

i had to break it to a local pawn shop that the $3500 Les Paul Standard they had was a fake. Fortunately they were great and it was on consignment and took it off the floor immediately after having a guitar shop in town verify my claim. I'm glad the shop did their due dilligance, I just feel bad if the seller thought he had the real thing.

I just put black electrical tape over the logo and it's done. I have a Chickenbacker and I unscrew the name plate.

I find the easiest thing to do is sand off the headstock logo refinish it and put my own logo on it. There are so many people using guitars that aren't big names or playing custom builds these days.

I'd imagine a lot of people wanted a Gibson to play and hang on their wall, but can't afford one. I agree with defacing or replacing the logo when getting rid or selling it, however, if the owner of that Chibson dies and said chibson gets sold, well, that's just unfortunate.

I truly feel there is nothing wrong with buying or a selling a chibson i say this because the population im apart of cant afford a $3k guitar or even a $300 guitar and a very good reason for buying one! Some of us do like nice things but we may never be able to achieve the real thing besides its obvious when a fake is a fake between poly finish inconsistencies the bridge mount and various other things gibson does a great job covering their ass just ask the guys that raided the factory they even got some wood back from that and made an entire freedom series of guitars sorry gotta stick up for the little guys as i am one as well
