Could just get a stamp that says cop and press it into the headstock. Or this works lol
ОтветитьEpiphone headstocks are trash. Squire doesnt upcharge for a headstock upgrade and that’s why we love 😂.
ОтветитьJust carve an indicator in the back of it somewhere and you’re good. Make sure it’s deep enough that you can’t sand it out with the finish.
Ответитьi hate those counterfeit chibsons, how can i know if my chibson is authentic?
ОтветитьThe legit reason to buy a cheap chinese knockoff, is because like me, you want to teach yourself luthier work and you don't want to ruin expensive guitars making rookie mistakes. Also perhaps you want to destroy an expensive guitar on film without the production expense of destroying a $3,000 or $6,000 guitar.
ОтветитьIf you change them in any way, or sell them just because of the fake brand , will prove what so many already think of you. (Idiot)
ОтветитьTotally the correct course of action.
As a musical instrument it still has value, but the logo has to go.
Hopefully you destroyed the chibson serial number too.
If you don’t want them I’ll taken them 😅
ОтветитьShit bro, ill buy them.
ОтветитьI graduate in high school with is in our Guns and Roses cover band he owns about probably four of these just to look the part
ОтветитьYes there is a reason to buy Chinese made Gibson because people cant aford or do not want to pay for overpriced USA made Gibsons.
ОтветитьI would never ever play a Chibson on stage
ОтветитьYou can have custom fret inlays, make it 24 frets, get ebony fretboards, and everything made to your specifications. Try doing that with a real Gibson.
My Chibson is going to get real Gibson Pickups and wiring mods. Don't be a snob; you know they are good guitar options, and why should a dirt poor musician pay $8,000 for a guitar that doesn't even have custom frets?
Bravo , però , non sai che le Gibson come tutte le guitar 🎸sono fatte lo stesso in Cina 🇨🇳… 😂😂😂😂 la Cina 🇨🇳 produce TUTTO
ОтветитьI get the impression that this destruction of the logo means that they are probably in terms of quality and tone side by side with real brands, and because of that they must be "marked"-injured, because as such they cast a shadow over his original relative.
Why did you even buy them?
I don't understand why someone would feel responsible for selling an instrument that he bought as such, he is not responsible for the logo that that instrument carries. I think that everyone already recognizes the original ones.
Well, isn't the main fraudster the company that makes those instruments and that legally.
Can you explain how Gibson-Fender allowed these instruments to be made in China, with all those inscriptions, even stamped "made in USA", that means there is an agreement-approval between them.
The only problem I see is that if I were to buy it, and it comes to my country, how can I explain to the customs officer that it is not an original American instrument, he will strip me of the customs, because he will take into account the real price - American.
I think those guitars are OK, absolutely irrelevant that they are Chinese, especially Gibson LP models - Greeny LP, my favorite.
It's sadder that you scratched and damaged those guitars, if you hate them you didn't have to hurt them, simple solution - send it to me and I'll deal with the logo.😂😂👌
Be careful man, the angle grinder is one of the most dangerous tools, especially when you handle it with just one hand
ОтветитьBrother I had to sale my guitar’s to pay medical bills now no money to get one not had a guitar in 2 year don’t destroy them I had 2 1970s sale me one cheap
Ответитьthe only time its illegal is when you resale. keep it for the novelty.
Ответитьi had to break it to a local pawn shop that the $3500 Les Paul Standard they had was a fake. Fortunately they were great and it was on consignment and took it off the floor immediately after having a guitar shop in town verify my claim. I'm glad the shop did their due dilligance, I just feel bad if the seller thought he had the real thing.
ОтветитьFake gibons don't bother me at all, with gibson selling their les Paul's for such outrageous price any younger player will have no choice but to buy a chibson if they won't to have a decent guitar in that category of gibson, do you think it's moral to sell a product that is for the most part that is so outrageous in price that anyone with half a brain would be afraid to Bing it out of the house ,or gig with it, these chibson guitars are going to be the wave of the future, you destroying or maiming the instruments you have in the overall scheme of thing will not be even felt in the market each day hundreds of these guitars are shipped all over the world and think God because a young Wana be guitar player shouldn't be denied the chance to have a real nice guitar.,these guitars are on Facebook market place all the time ,I believe the wood and glue that make up the chibson is not much less quality than it's counter part, with great re issue pickups put in and replace the tuners a person could have a guitar to be proud of for the rest of their life ,love your videos Max thumbs up as always 😊
ОтветитьNo way I would I have done that.
ОтветитьHey Maxx - Love the show - what's with the Danzig shirt? You always said 20 points off for that .... I always thought you looked much more like Ian from The Cult. Much better!
ОтветитьI just put black electrical tape over the logo and it's done. I have a Chickenbacker and I unscrew the name plate.
ОтветитьHow does Chibson keep from getting copyright infringement lawsuits filed against them?
ОтветитьI threw mine in the dumpster.. but that's because it was total trash and unplayable. 🎸⤵🗑
ОтветитьI find the easiest thing to do is sand off the headstock logo refinish it and put my own logo on it. There are so many people using guitars that aren't big names or playing custom builds these days.
ОтветитьYou don't want your hair caught in that there flesh ripper
ОтветитьI often seek out a young player and gift them
You can stamp fake with the blades of a screwdriver in it
Make a template jig to rout out the Logo
i would have bought one if you didnt grind them
ОтветитьKinda disapointed, thought you would light them on fire and swing them around like a wild man lol
ОтветитьIf you want to give away the red strat, let me know,. Logo or not. Its a beauty. I'd play the heck out of that guitar!
Ответитьtoo funny, i liked the remark about leaving on the sidewalk at Norms.
ОтветитьPut a piece of tape over the logo and you're good to go......most people DO NOT UNDERSTAND COPYRIGHT LAW. Including the Blues Lawyers
ОтветитьI'd imagine a lot of people wanted a Gibson to play and hang on their wall, but can't afford one. I agree with defacing or replacing the logo when getting rid or selling it, however, if the owner of that Chibson dies and said chibson gets sold, well, that's just unfortunate.
ОтветитьHey max can I buy any of your chibson guitar les paul for nostalgia I just like them for decoration
ОтветитьNo safety glasses?
ОтветитьHell no don’t destroy them!
ОтветитьProtect your eyes friend!
ОтветитьI truly feel there is nothing wrong with buying or a selling a chibson i say this because the population im apart of cant afford a $3k guitar or even a $300 guitar and a very good reason for buying one! Some of us do like nice things but we may never be able to achieve the real thing besides its obvious when a fake is a fake between poly finish inconsistencies the bridge mount and various other things gibson does a great job covering their ass just ask the guys that raided the factory they even got some wood back from that and made an entire freedom series of guitars sorry gotta stick up for the little guys as i am one as well
ОтветитьJust have him make you some necks with your name on them
ОтветитьHe makes his own
ОтветитьHead change neck any ways
ОтветитьScar my guitar will take them
ОтветитьSure I would.
ОтветитьBetter take the tuners off first
ОтветитьChange the neck
