It was supposed to strip advertising off websites that you went to. But it wasn't able to support its own advertisements? A contradiction red flag for spamware. I'll stick to Firefox with ABP ad blocking software plug-in. From the git go this whole thing is super scammy.

Chrome scans your computer on every single start-up, and I don't mean the malware-scanning.. every single file, document and picture... don't ever install it in the first place!!

I love Brave!

I am an active user of chrome and google search engine. I believe that all the search results that Google provides me are best suited to my preferences, and comparing it to other search engines, the Google search engine is far superior to anything. So, if by using chrome, Google can track my activity and, in turn, provide me better search results, I will always stick to chrome.
I find it surprising when people use all these excellent facilities like the internet and expect to prevent any advertisements and marketing practices. These facilities exist because the giant tech companies earn from marketing. So, if you are using something so big and you know it has become part and parcel of your life, think of giving something back to the company that made that foundation in the first place.

I've used Brave for a while a year ago, but do not be fooled by the marketing of this particular browser.
Fingerprinting is far more dangerous on Brave than any other browser out there, plus Brave is still a Chromium fork (the browser uses the same source code as Google Chrome) and that alone is a bit suspicious especially if you've moved from Chrome to Brave, it's basically the same browser but with a little bit more hardening and an extra built-in ad-blocker.

What I'd alternatively recommend is a Hardened Firefox or even a foxfork like Librewolf. that said, if you don't really want these extra steps to privacy Brave alone is a great user-friendly browser that is good enough for some users, it's great, but there is better.

I'm facing problem with brave browser

I linked my uphold account to brave rewards on two computers and... Accidentally uninstall both browsers..

But Now I can't connect my uphold account to brave rewards... (it's shows me that "Your wallet cannot be verified because you've reached the maximum verified device limit"....

Maybe I haven’t been able to use brave, but how do I add extensions on brave? Tried chrome webstore but it won’t let me download anything without downloading chrome browser, all of the extensions are saying "available on chrome" and nothing gets downloaded, I just get pushed to a site where I can download chrome. I really need some extensions, otherwise I can’t use brave as my default browser.
