Do not use brake clean on the rifle 🤦🏻♂️ there are degreasers out there. Brake clean will eat away the finish especially if you're not planning on finishing the barrel
ОтветитьGood thing you wrap the barrel that cleaner ruins the barrel finish
ОтветитьAny issues with the heat from firing the rifle causing the vinyl to loosen up/detach from the barrel?
ОтветитьHow does this hold up to firearm solvents & oil?
ОтветитьI sure would like a copy of that audio track..
ОтветитьThis guys definitely has no hair on his knuckles lol
ОтветитьDo you have to use heat or will it just peel off
ОтветитьI’d like to do this but it looks like it would be easy to screw up. And that’s with someone who’s experienced. Guess I’m going with Hydro-dip.
Ответитьwould it be an easier install if rifle is broken down? it would also keep from having to regrease rifle after stripping it away with brake cleaner
ОтветитьI just did my Ruger Mini 14, I took the barrel off leaving just the stock. Wrapped everything going over the stock. Then cutting out the openings.
After reassembling the gun the trigger is not releasing the firing pin.
If parts are put over the skin, will that mess up the tolerances preventing the firing pin to release? Thanks
Thanks for the video, this helps so much to explain the process and actual application of the process
I got theprym 1- fire storm, for my muzzleloader, waiting for some tools to come in to get it done
Would have been a lot easier if you had removed the stock.
ОтветитьWhat if you want to disassemble the gun?
ОтветитьWhat camo is that???
ОтветитьI'm not an artist whatsoever, and can't trace for shiiiit. If I accidentally made a pattern too small, would that affect anything at all, or can I cut out a smaller pattern and heat blast it on anyways?
Ответитьwith a wood stock, what cleaner, if any, should i use prior to installation?
ОтветитьIf I use this on a rifle with checkering on the stock, will it show the checkering afterwards? I’m hoping it will!
ОтветитьCould you use a torch lighter?
ОтветитьThe only problem with Brake Cleaner is that it leaves a residue.
ОтветитьDO NOT BUY! all it does is wrinkle. It’s a awesome concept but garbage
ОтветитьCan you easily remove the wrap if you want to change to another design or return to stock?
ОтветитьWhy not remove the barreled action amd wrap the entire barrel corcumfrentially?
Ответитьwhat white thing do use? to put down the rap?
ОтветитьWatched entire video waiting to see technique for cutting out trigger gaurd😳
ОтветитьI just put one on last night and the most problematic area is around the front end of the stock. Even with multiple cuts its hard to get that area to not crinkle.
ОтветитьWill a gunskin work with the rubberized howa 1500 stock my stock kinda feels like rubber or some kinda rubber material
ОтветитьWould this work with a magpul hunter stock? I know the ergonomics is quite different and I question if there would be enough material to cover the magpul hunter stock with a Ruger action
ОтветитьIs there any shops that would put it on for me I have a feeling I would screw it up drawing is one thing doing this is much different I feel safe having someone do it for me
ОтветитьCan you do do this on a mossberg 500 mvp lc?
ОтветитьIs there any reason why wouldn’t you remove the barreled action and swivel studs etc. to hide the seems?
ОтветитьI was going to have my rifle hydro dipped but I was worried I wouldn’t like the camo after a while, then I saw this and I’m definitely going this route! Also I like the fact you don’t have to take the gun apart, A good gun should be seated well to the stock and barrel floated, and any vinyl in between could mess things up I would think, maybe not, either way, NICE!
ОтветитьYou know there are many different blades that work so much better for cutting and trimming that vinyl just fyi. They are in craft and art stores made by Exacto even but there are a few rounded ones for trimming rounded edges etc.. just thought I would mention that.
ОтветитьIt looks great once he gets it done, but that's one hell of a lot of work, and if you ever want to remove it and put it back on, you have to destroy all that work and make a brand new install.
I'm really glad that I have a better option, although the company that made them (Kane) is out of business: Gun chaps.
Put them on without tools at all, simply slide it over the barrel/forend and the buttstock, then literally zip the buttstock part up and secure the velcro over the buttpad.
Removal is even easier than putting them on, and you can take them off and put them back repeatedly.
They also have a bit of cushioning to protect the stock, something that vinyl wraps don't have.
Will the barrel start rusting under the tape?
Ответитьwill this work on wood stocks?
ОтветитьRight why would you not just remove the action, I still don't know why anyone would go thru all that. . .
but to each his own.
Wrapped a fluted barrel yet?
ОтветитьHere for the comments telling the product designers the best way to apply their product 🤣.
ОтветитьHow does barrel do on heat ? Does it get excessively hot?
ОтветитьWill this unravel if it doesnt touch itself. Like can I do a half wrap on a barrel?
ОтветитьShit fire did you just put brake clean on that gun if so you just fucked up royally! Chem-sabi
ОтветитьWould a credit card work as good as the squegi
ОтветитьThink you could do this with electronics? Would be pretty cool I'd my laptop matched my guns
ОтветитьWas going to order until I heard the stupid rap advertisement.... Just kidding 😁 Ordering now. But really the rap sucks.
ОтветитьWill this fit ww2 era bolt actions
ОтветитьWhat type and brand of vinyl is this???
Is it the 3M brand of matte finish air release type of vinyl?
do a revolver
ОтветитьIt'd be a bad day if you got your fingers in the way of that torch.
ОтветитьDoes it leave a sticky feeling after you take it back after if need be??
ОтветитьTaking the weapon apart would have made it a lot easier and cleaner of install.
