How to download and install Windows 7 as a Virtual Machine (2021)

im getting 404

windows 7 has been removed from Microsoft servers but there is a safe way to get the iso , simply copy the broken link from windows iso downloader and put them in wayback machine

This doesn't work, I managed to to get up to the point of going for the iso from HeiDoc but it didn't work, I just got a 404 page not found, is there a workaround or some other site where I can get the iso?

idk if you still answer questions on here but im having trouble connecting to the internet on it, i use a adapter since my pc doesn't pick up wifi

Hi Mike! As a longtime Mac user, I've been away from PCs for well over a decade now. In fact, the last PC I built ran on Win XP! I recently acquired some really nice multichannel audio media authoring software ... but, as you may have guessed, it was written to be used in Windows 7. The Mrs has a redundant [work issued] HP ProBook 440 G8 laptop PC here ( 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHz ) that I'd like to use to run Win 7. In order to save money, the ideal situation would be to purchase a decent new PVIe NVMe M.2 2280 SSD and simply swap out the IT-security-infected NVMe [work] SSD that's presently in the laptop with the new NVMe SSD. As I understand that an Intel 11th Gen based PC and Win 7 don't play well together, I'd really like to follow your inspiration and install Win 7 as a virtual machine, which leads me to a few questions: (1) Not knowing what any version of Windows (past Win 7) looks like, I'm wondering which Windows version you were running when you installed this Win 7 VM? (2) I clearly watched you bypass adding an MS Product Key, so was all of the software you employed during the making of this video free to use? (3) I'm assuming that this video was made via a very nice PC, but I'd still like to ask you for some details about your hardware ... CPU, GPU, RAM and Storage Type please? Needless to say, I'm asking these questions as a way to get my feet back into the "PC Pool" again. I've both liked and subscribed, so please keep on making these wonderfully informative videos! 🙂

Hello! I have a question: I've downloaded the Heidoc windows iso downloader, but none of the downloads seem to be available? I run the program, select the program I want and hit download, and then it brings me to a page that says "File or Directory not found." is there another safe place where I can get the iso? Thank you

Hi Mike, great video! Everything worked, and I have Windows 7 sitting in my Virtual Box.
However, how to I install a program in Windows 7?
I have the full and legal files ready for a wonderful programe called Picture Publisher 10.
But it doesn't allow me to drag these files into my virtual Windows 7.

one question, if i connect a usb driver can i oppen it on virtual windows 7 ? cus i want to use a app that is loaded in the usb driver and hopefully run it on windows 7 cus the app is only compatible for widows 7. can this windows 7 discover my usb driver wich i connected to my pc?
